in Loans
hi all, im new to this forum and am acctually quite apprehensive about posting here.
anyway, i have had a 'payday addiction' for the last year and half now, always paying them off then reapplying within days, selling cars and all of my stuff just to get by. I am not in the worst position as i have no childrenr, no rent as i am in the army, so mostly all of my income is mine. Although i do have other things to pay such as loans, hire purchase etc.
Any way, i have decided to become debt free. this morning i made the decision to either ring wonga and try and get them to reduce my payments monthly, and if they can't enter a dmp.
Any way i started this post, just in case there are people out there in the same boat. i will let you know how this goes and update as soon s i can

best to post on the debt free wannabe board and post up your details of income, debts, out goings etc (called an SOA)
lots of people in similar situations and lots of friendly advice there.0 -
So this addiction of yours, is the need to pay out huge amounts of interest, rather than to get a grip of your finances and pay out no interest.
You obviously need a program of some sort and a bit of will power would not go amiss.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

Bit of financial backbone and the will to stop wasting money on rubbish....
Good luck but the DFW board is better for you."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
Though with a username like the OP's I guess he'd thought about the debt free wannabe board.
Might be wrong thoughSpace available for rent0 -
Im known as the 'Fixer' if you have a problem, come to me and i can fix it for you.0

i only said addiction as it was the best way to describe it, its more like a hole which is getting deeper! but hopefully not after today! i rang wonga, and they are assessing my application for monthly payments. Which if they accept will leave me with some of my own wages next month! As for soa:
Income: £1312 p/m
outgoings:
Black horse finance: £105.81 p/m
Amigo loan: £158 p/m
Poundstopocket: £125 p/m
Orange phone contract: £55 p/m
vodaphone contract: £39 p/m
three internet dongle: £16 p/m
scottish friendly savings: £25
total outgoing: £523
total for month: £789
total debts:
wonga: £1180 to be paid 31/08/2012
black horse: £3900
amigo: £3900
pounds to pocket: £1500
capital one credit card: £150
vanquis credit: £150
total: £10780
before anyone judges, yes i do have quite a high disposable income, but i did have a bit of a bad gambling habit, which i have kicked now, but was too late, as i was already in the downwards spiral of wonga loans.
Any help would be greatfully aprreciated!0 -

You need to cancel at least two of them. Even cheap mobile contracts allow some data, enough for casual browsing anyway.
£25 a month in savings? Seriously?0 -

Should really be on the debt free board as suggested by clapton.
Anyway, over a £100 in mobile phone contracts is just unreal, so ditch the 3 mobile contracts and get a sim only for £10 a month or a sim only 30 day deal.0
