I had insulation done last year under some Government scheme.
On Saturday someone came round and said 50mm is not enough under a new scheme you can have 250mm
for £70 is it worth it?

Alarms bells should ring when the doorbell rings:eek:

I think you have your info wrong, maybe it was a 50mm top up to give the figure the gov scheme allowed then?, I don't know.

Check the gov website, I would have thought that if you were under the recommended level it would be free, I know they are still doing free installations.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Have you actually been into the roof and checked exactly how much insulation you have.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

That's about 5 people who have advised the op to at least stick their head up there to check, maybe they're too busy answering cold calls from insulation companies?:D
