  • I came back from Croatia a couple of months ago, the rate here at the time was 8.6 Kuna to the pound, at the banks in Croatia I got 9.1 to the pound, all the banks I used displayed their rates on the counters inside the bank
  • I've been three times and noticed the exchange rate over there is at least as good as here, usually slightly better

The best thing to do is to get a debit or credit card that does not have an overseas fee/loading and use the ATMs in Croatia. Next best is to exchange sterling for kuna in Croatia.
