    Hi
I agree with all the above, I also use mine in the cat basket when taking the cat to the vet. Old cotton bedding can be cut up and made into all sorts of things. You can use it as a lining fabric or cut it up for quilting.
  • The kind of towels which are wearing so thin that you can see the light through them ... time to send to the textile recycling bin?

I cut mine up for cleaning rags or use them as a bath mat when coming out of the shower.

if you dont find a good use for them,i am sure any animal place like a cat and dog shelter or pdsa vets would be delighted with your cast offs :)
  • Cut them up and use for wiping down kitchen surfaces. I'll add this to the existing thread on using old towels later ;)

We either use them for floorcloths/rags or take them to the local cat and dog rehoming place as they use them for bedding.

Depends what sort of towels...... if it's big towels that have worn in the middle, you might be able to make a couple of hand towels out of the end portions. Otherwise, I do as others have said here - use as floor rags and such like, or if I have a surplus, donate to the RSPCA shop for their animal shelter. Btw, when we had a new duvet as a wedding present, the shelter were pleased to have the old and rather flat one as a dog bed, too.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Hi frostyspice,

There's an earlier thread with more ideas for using old towels so I've added your thread to it to keep the replies together.
