Maybe the soil has too much nitrogen in it and the fig is thus encouraged to put on leaf. Try using a high potash feed instead.0

My friend's fig tree hasn't produced anything this year but it's a relatively new tree.
Is yours in a sheltered, sunny spot?
Are its roots restricted or in the open ground?0 -
None here either (i have half a dozenfigs of different types).
Just one of those years.

Nope, have plenty of figs here.
The fact you say your tree has grown very well is the give away here. Trees, especially figs, that produce a lot of growth aren't interested in fruiting. Is it recently planted? Did you cut it back hard last year?
Once it's settled down it'll start fruiting but that depends on how big the tree gets and whether it's got restricted roots. The more restricted the earlier it'll fruit.0 -
My tree is still a baby but no fruit here either, although it has grown more than any other year!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

I have 2 small trees in pots and put them in the greenhouse early this year and they are full of fruit, also pruned it early to encourage fruit. Wisdom doesn't necessarily come with age.
Sometimes age just shows up all by itself
In the end, it's not the years in your life
that count....it's the life in your years
