Stayrd at the Tivoli, Lagos last year - cracking deal off the Thomson website believe it or not ! Loved it, and planning to go back there in September - possibly SC this time.

On the point of travel insurance, i opened an A&L account and get 1 year free for me and the wife ! Looks good cover as well.

I am sure you will have a great time in Lagos.

My husband and I visited a month ago and had such a lovely holiday. If you can rent a car (some very cheap deals available on the internet, try http://www.algarve-car-hire.co.uk/page5.html) I would recommend that as there are lots of places to explore, particularly some beautiful cove beaches that you will have practically to yourself.
I am not going to name them all as otherwise then everyone will know about them and thery won't be so secluded then! Just get a map and pick a beach along the stretch from Lagos to Faro, I am sure you won't be dissapointed.
