Cosco try in on

That would make sense!0

I was going to use Costco once and wanted two new tyres. It was 'policy' that the would rotate the other two wheels front to back or vice versa, can't remember what way round it was.
I said I didn't want them swapped and it wasn't an option.
I went along to Kwik Fit and they agreed to price match and do what I wanted done to the car.
Go you, refusing the safety tip0 -
I think you misheard and they actually said 1.6mm.

The MOT min limit is 1.6mm, so it's not illegal to have more than that (though for safety you might want to think about changing tyres well before 1.6mm), but 6mm has plenty left.
My car's safely parked in Ukraine at the moment, but before I left the UK, I had 2 tires with 1.8mm on them.
I had them done at the Audi dealership in Odessa (franchise owned by a friend, I don't drive an Audi), as it's possible to get 2 premium-branded tires, fitted for half the price CostCo gave me for medium-brand (OH's having my car in Sep, and does most the running around for the kids, so I want to know the car's safe; and yes, I paid market rates.)
I find CC a lot more expensive than a standard outlet anyway, although I have 19in wheels, so that may be why?!

Premium Branded?
You do realise that Costco only sell Continental and Michelin tyres don't you?
They don't stock any cheap or budget tyres.
The staff do talk crap sometimes, such as refusing to sell you tyres unless they put the new ones on the back, in line with a flawed research article.
I have not found a Michelin tyre in the sizes I use cheaper anywhere online that is cheaper than Costco, haven't compared the Continentals, as not a fan, had them on wifes Clio and they wore out very quickly on the front, admittedly the car is a diesel and driven round town mostly, also wore out the Avon ZV3's quickly but seems fine on the Hankook Kinergy tyres, rears last for years.0 -
