Well said, I myself have been saying this for a while now. I have also taken criticism for it.
Why are posters competing with others I really don`t know. Common sense should kick in surely?
It will be sad for this thread and all these friendships to end in such a way, purely down to greed.

    Leenie.

    Well said Leenie

I don't think the criticism was about the size of your apg was it Leenie? I thought it was about you being worried about using it but I may well be wrong :)

My largest was over the coke glitch, think it was just over £10 and I made sure I used it in my weekly shop which came to £95 but since then I've kept them below that

And on that note I will leave the subject alone now as I can see that it has caused friction :(

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

afternoon folks.. sorry to say it but I think things are sliding in the direction of original dtd days...
I dont think the whole apg thing being broadcast to hukd by mysmith (who will read this on his lurk) did the thread any favours..
It all looks too familiar with folks jumping in headfirst to raise profile and awareness so that the supermarkets have little choice but to end the schemes or radically change the system and leave very little room for us to manouvre ( save money )..
    Opinion aired

Maybe i've gone way too far on the first go :o

Didn't really understand the rules so thanks for letting me know! Next time I won't be buying so much, I'm really nervous now about using the voucher :(

I won't be using this voucher until next week so hopefully doesn't impact anyone on here wanting the same.

    Sorry again guys, didn't realise

James - i won't jump on the sanctimonious bandwagon and berate you. It's done now so there is nothing you can do..but now you will understand about exercising caution in future for generating such a large APG.:o
Tyzer, well said - I agree with you. :T

Not sure what to do now, I'm probably not going to use the voucher now, quite scared actually from what people have posted!

I'm stuck with all this Tommy K now!

Due to have a shop at the weekend, the husband is going to kill me when he realises how much i've actually spent today if I don't get the voucher coming through!!! :(

You could return the goods for a refund, or at least some of them - the ketchup for example. Say that you were buying for a corporate BBQ and there was a mix-up between you and another staff member, so you BOTH bought it? The wine could slot in there nicely too. If you wanted, that is.
No, Mr A, that is NOT 'Great news'!!:D

    Wombling totals: Oct = £243.32 - £93.32 over target!
Nov Wombling Tally: £27.36 so far... behind target :(

they way i see it is this.

    You have 2 options

You suck it up and deal with any consequences that may come up

    or

take it all back and split it back down into smaller, more manageable and believeable shops.

Surely you dont need so much of everything you got?

Start small. Then when you are confident in what you are doing, work your way up slowly.

Sadly I fear this will go the same way tesco's old DTD went.

The first steps asda could take would be easy ones and to be fair ones I wouldn't mind seeing.........a cap of £10 on the value of an APG and the return of the 6am check to prevent multiple purchases in one day.

Worst case scenario that benefits nobody bar those who think its nothing but a good laugh and simply dont need the savings is that asda just pull the plug.

They could perhaps put a limit that you can only use an APG up to a percentage of your shop which again isn't good.

Those people actively seeking huge APG's really should reconsider their actions if they value the APG scheme themselves.

Totally agree, I think people should becareful in what they post now, after all it`s an open forum.
I have a soft spot for this forum and have always been honest and I think caring about others on here.
It seems that manners have gone out of the window now, it`s up setting to see the nature of the posts change so much in such a short space of time.
