And can I just say on the subject of the dark side, stuff getting quoted over there, the apg debacle, etc. etc.....
giving me a headache.
It has been discussed many times on this thread and we are not here to make moral/ethical judgements, but it would be a shame for all this to be pulled because of massively increased 'utilisation' of the loopholes.
It's happened in the past with individual deals (eg beer at Mr S) and will surely happen again, but then.... can we really be surprised if it does when we (myself included) boast of our whoopsie hauls all the time, post pics of exorbitant stashes, broadcast the merits of wombling to all etc. on such a high profile thread?? After all, this is read by hundreds of thousands of people, including the major supermarkets and HUKD posters and it's only a matter of time before the minority becomes a majority and deals much thinner on the ground.
Not wishing to start a debate, but do let's all exercise caution, common sense and a bit of restraint when out savvy shopping....0 -

Sausage casserole!! That would be a match made in heaven. Nice one!
I used my blackcurrants up in a batch of jelly weeks ago along with a few raspberries and strawberries. Just labelled it as Garden Jelly cos that is where the fruit was sourced. It is so crisp and clean tasting. Just simply lovely! If it's full price I don't buy it..if its 50% off I will consider it..if it's whoopsied and I have a coupon its in the trolly!0 -
I'm getting off my soap box now and going to see Mr A - for my 3 bottles of wine, my 3 jars of mincemeat, 2 tommy k & 1 beans. And some SP items to make my tally up.0

I must say I am quite   and   seeing that some people seem to think that the a game with apg is to see how 'big' you can get
I don't think this thread will survive too much longer at this rate and it is such a shame that the Elite are being brought down in this way. We all like a bargain and a glitch but tbh I can't see why some can't be happy with buying items in 3s and try to keep the APG level down

Well said!Hope is not a strategy.0 -

Just hope they didn't change it from 08:37 to 10:09.....do they tend to update mid way through the day?!
I rad somewhere that any updates go live at 6am each morning, but then again I also read they use msm to compare, which they dont seem to all the time:rotfl:0 -

I don't see what they can do though if the voucher has been printed?!
It's surely wise to be mindful of the T&Cs for these schemes. If your receipt doesn't look like it would generate an APG of the value that it apparently shows, then your APG could come under considerable scrutiny and raise suspicion as to whether or not it's genuine. They do say:
21. We've the right to withdraw the ASDA Price Guarantee at any time without notice.
22. We reserve the right to withhold and/or refuse payment where we suspect that any false or fraudulent claim is being made.
It might be argued that the terms effectively allow the store discretion in whether or not to accept individual APGs.0 -
thanks for the replies guys, all sorted now0

Also added 'the secret ingredient';)
First, I fried up some APG veggies with herbs of choice. I added a couple of tins of 5B and a glug of the secret ingredient.....
I popped it in a large ovenproof dish.....
Top with anything you prefer: cheesy bread crumbs, pastry, potato slices, etc.
I opted for potato slices as I had some frozen ready to use up....
Not sure what it tastes like yet but the filling was nice on its own
Seems pretty adaptable. Will get a few more tins now0
