....Then I gave her my PP voucher and the receipt for it. When she finished scrutinising that she went to put the receipt in the till with it. I asked if I could have the receipt back and she told me that she had to keep it. Now this has happened to me twice this week now. First time I left it but this time the receipt had clothing items on it which I haven't even tried on yet so they may need to be returned. But no she wasn't having any of it so I asked her to call her supervisor. The supervisor had no idea whether they were supposed to keep the receipts or not:mad: I made my point to her about the clothes and asked how I could return them (if I need to) without a receipt. She didn't know the answer to that either:mad: In the end she told the SA to give me my receipt back and mark my PP voucher 'recipes returned to customer'

Has anyone else had this problem?

Sorry for the long post....my first proper trouting :(

yes hun...happened to me a coupe of times in different stores, most of the time I just explain that I keep the reciept not them and they're fine with it...except the one time, when I was erved by a new girl who hadnt seen one before, she called the supervisor, who said they keep it...i said no as it had some DVDs on (i'd bought them for a friends kids birthday and they already had them) and I needed to return them...she then checked with the manager who wouldnt budge.....I asked to speak to the manager as he needed to be told his own company policy! He came down, and again wouldt budge...so I phoned H/O in front of him - they gave him a right b******ing ( I could actually hear the woman on the phone shouting at him!!)....end result - I got my reciept back.

Obviously doing this will raise your profile instore, so pick your battles wisely. Might be worth phoning HO and telling them to contact the store direct to reiterate store policy - that way the store might not realise it was down to you!
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

That is quite old, but a classic. You could probably get a decent amount of money for it from a collector if you wanted to get rid of it.

Even with the latest OSX that can be installed on that machine I don't think they meet the necessary security protocols for doing things like internet banking, but I could be wrong though. Your mum probably could benefit from a change though but going from OSX to Windows might be quite a challenge for her.

    Guys, Hold tight...........

    4p SOCKS ARE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found about 8 packs of the 2 pair funny coloured socks in my local T's. I picked one up and took it to the till with the rest of my shopping and it scanned at....

    £6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So back it went. I wanted to warn people before you start filling your trolleys and having to explain away an armful of them not being needed.

I am going to check the barcode to see if it is the same, as I might have a pair or two to return without a receipt for an exchange........

    HTH.

Hello everyone from, HongKong. Bloody red hot here but the buffet dinner I just had was delicuious. Up early for the shuttle to the conference tomorrow so going to bed very soon. No Tesco here :rotfl: so it's work this week and glitching when I return.

    Hope you're all behaving! :D

@ Miss Laid - Vodka glitch! This makes 1ltr of the red stuff £13.50. Tempted. :D Still not as good as the two x 1ltr Blue label in the airport on the way home, but I can only have 1 (Why the hell they sell them in two - I'm blatantly having 4!)

Ne5555Have you looked into the Paris Pass? We bought this when I proposed to the wife (top of the Arc!) and we got entry in to loads of sites, including the tower, and all train fares, oh and a boat cruise. Was about £50 each I think but we got them off eBay. We got the 4 day ones.
3DogsCongrats on your lovely new car! I still stand by the year old thing as I hate throwing money away at depreciation but realise there are some good deals out there. :T

Your second picture then looks like our other dog?! Is this the Twighlight zone?! :rotfl::eek: Remind me to upload a pic when I get back. EDIT - found one! 53642910150876734209922.jpg

Yes, I don't see why you would not be able too. A friend used to run there's off it. It should have the disk drive on the front too. So, you will be able to install the programme. Just depends if you can afford to get rid of it or not?

It should work if there is a LAN connection there?

WiFi might be difficult though as finding a wifi connector that will work with such an old system might be difficult.

A LAN connector looks a bit like the port on the computer where you put the dial up connection cable, only bigger.

She's a writer so it's brilliant for that but now she wants to do a bit of research - just hoping she's not wanting to write a follow-up to 50 shades!!!
