Its a fine line really and everyone has to make their own decision about things like this, so please dont think i was taking the moral ground, just paraphrasing what Ive seen discussed recently.
Its interesting really, as some would say buying glitches intentionally (the wine being a good example) or knowingly buying mispriced items for DTD etc could also be seen as wrong. (mainly people who have not been educated in MSE ways!)
Everyone has to make their own call about what they feel happy doind, and how far they want to 'bend' the rules. But at least this is a good place to get advice about glitches and discuss how far to safely go;)
Wise words and i will have to ponder this one.As you say"make their own call"
If the staff did there job this would not be an issue.
Maybe i should do the norm and let the wife tell me what i will do:D0 -
Hi guys - I used my £3 off voucher and got a bottle of vodka for £12 today, which I have promptly turned into Skittles vodka by adding a big bag of Skittles to. I hope this tastes half as good as it's supposed to!

Thanks for the replies peeps I can see the moral implications and wouldn't want to put the system at risk for all the others out there.Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Just a quick question. Can the APG's be traced back if you use an unmarked receipt for a second go? The CS didn't mark my receipt today so wondering if its safe to use it again?
This question comes up regularly - in fact, I think it was asked yesterday! Usually, people get jumped on/berated for even thinking it.
I presume you are talking about Asda - personally, I don't think there is much chance of it being traced back to you - they could trace the time/till etc and inspect the CCTV but I doubt they would bother for an isolated incident. They might well look deeper if you were doing it on a regular basis and might identify you and either lie in wait for you next time you tried it and/or ban you from the store or even worse !
It was suggested by a previous poster recently that a fair number of us might actually have re-used a receipt either accidentally or deliberately but might not want to admit it. I felt she had a valid point.
So, you probably are 'safe' to re-use a receipt insofar as you are unlikely to be challenged over a single incident.
HOWEVER - whether it is acceptable practice/right/moral etc to re-use a receipt is a completely different question !ELITE 5:2

As has already been said, there are various viewpoints on this and we all have to make our own decisions.
Its more a case of what we personally feel is right rather than 'putting the system at risk' though - I don't think the odd re-use (accidental or otherwise) is half as likely to bring the system down as the pictures and comments of huge stashes of free or nearly free wine, chocolate, meat etc which are bandied about all over the place.ELITE 5:2

Please can everyone now go to Asda and look at the cashew nuts
I've got a receipt ready to put into the APG machine and on it is 10 packets of cashew nuts, all in a long row for 65p  I've looked up cashews on mys but the chepaest is the Asda own brand for 75p. This is the barcode on the receipt

Why would anyone have the need to spend £6.50 on cashews - I am assuming they are the saled ones. I know you can cook with them but would you need 10 bags???
Anyway I am just going to input it and see what comes up“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
