  • Beans coupon ended on FB. Heinz claimed they only planned to put it out for 5 days anyway; yeah right :D. They haven't made any kind of statement saying the coupon is no longer allowed to be used though, and I don't think they will as the cost of withdrawing a coupon officially is probably a fortune. xx

  • Hi all
Went shopping at Mr T's tonight and had a lot of coupons I was hoping to use. I would have been fine to use more than 1 of the ssm coupons on one product as the SA was lovely, but they would not scan. So at least now I know.

I picked up Pampers boxes of nappies on 2 for £20, thought I would get 1 of each - Active fit and Baby dry as I had coupons for these. I also remembered the offer not working before when you mixed the boxes. They were on an end shelf displayed together. At the checkout I put these back as I wanted to use my coupons on them and couldn't, but having now remembered about trying them, it seems the discount did not come off on the totaled receipt, so a possible DTD. Wish I had realized at the time, but in a bit of a faff over the coupons.

Really wanted the smaller packs of nappies with the union jack on, but typical that while I was away I could have got some, but extra to carry home on coach, get home and none in my local. I knew it would happen, I might try t0w3r p@rk tomo for these, if not perhaps try for dtd on the boxes. Hope this helps someone. Off I go to try and catch up.

    Brilliant :j

I think we've been to the cinema twice since DD was born May 2011. We are going to go significantly more times than that now :D

Although, at the rate I'm eating choccie I might need to use up two cinema tickets just for me to park my backside!

I got tickets due to collecting Andrex codes :)

Night folks. I'm turning in early.

I'm going to Mr S tomorrow to use up a bunch of till spits on litre bottles of Smirnoff and Bells whisky (both £21.80 in S and £15 in T )

Here's hoping the prices don't change on me overnight!

 I've been in hiding! Many reasons! I'm not doing too bad thanks, but need these steroid injections!! If you can manage without them then do it though because they can be painful!! My passport is tamped at shoulders, elbows, knees, wrist, tendon in my hand and muscular!! (I've generally found them more painful in smaller joints though. And tendon in the finger is :mad::( !! :( They give me 80mg in each shoulder when I need them, (each shoulder every 2-3 months) which my GP had to double check because he didn't think they could do such a high dose! :( I used to take prednisolone too, but I am very limited as to what I can take now having had surgery last year for a pancreatic cyst (caused by sulfasalazine and / or methotrexate that I was taking very high doses of for Rheumatoid Arthritis) I can't even take anti- inflammatories now. :( I can eat now though!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I couldn't before surgery, I left hospital at 6 1/2 stone, I am 5' 7", and was 9 1/2 before the flaming cyst!! Back to over 8 now!! ;)

My flare ups don't seem to follow a pattern either, so I might well suggest to my doc that they are following 'Fudge's Law!!' :rotfl::rotfl::cool::cool: Hope you're recurrences continue to be less and less, pain ain't fun! And thank you for remembering me and saying hi!! :A:A:A:):):)

Awww thank you if only that were the case. When I talk about relapses I only mean with regards to my bloods, I get no rest from the pain, it's unfortunately a daily occurence :(

I'm sorry to hear you've been having a rough time :( Pleased to have you back now and hope that you'll be sticking around :A

Oh I most certainly will avoid the jabs if I can, the thought of injections directly into a joint, makes me feel so queasy. Into your finger :eek: OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! Mum's got rheumatoid arthritis and she's had some in her knee before, she was in so much pain though that she told them to chop her leg off! So I don't think her mind was too clear that day!

OMG I can't believe about your pancreatic cyst! They started Mum on sulfasalazine but her white cell count rapidly declined so she switched to methotrexate and that did the same so she's now on leflunonamide. That's absolutely terrible what happened with you :(:(:( So pleased you've been able to eat and regain some of the weight, that's great. I really hope you're feeling stronger :)

As for anti-inflammatories, SNAP! I'm on warfarin so I am unable to take them due to risk of internal bleeding. Pain relief is a sore subject, no pun intended :o Paracetamols do nothing, I'm allergic to codeine!!

:rotfl: See what Doc's opinion is of 'Fudge's law' !!

    Course I remember ya! :D

    corned beef???
Is there a glitch on corned beef?

Not a glitch as such but a useful basket filler to make up 8 items.
Smart price corned beef £2 against Tesco £1.54, so a tin of corned beef for just under a quid..which is cheap cos its v pricey now

Love me carribean corned beef concoction as taught by my MIL God rest her soul. Fry chopped onion, garlic, pepper & tomato, mash in the corned beef until piping hot, add Encona hot pepper sauce to blow your socks off. Serve with rice & black eye peas. Yum yum!
