    I can feel the choccie glitch getting inside my head and I've been so strong so far:oCan't go till at least 5pm and I might feel stronger then and not give in to it;):rotfl::rotfl:

    Just been out and got some wine, but resisted the temptation to get chocolates.

    Myself and OH have a competition when we go in now to see who can find the smallest onion or carrot.....even raises a smile with the SA's lol.

    Best so far is 2p carrot and 4p onion....and thats complete useable items not broken carrots or shrivelled up onions! Good for a giggle!

    :hello:leendeb and welcome to the Elite :D

    How the APG works;
    1. Go to Asda and buy 8 or more qualifying grocery items
    2. Wait 3 hours and put your receipt into the APG system and you will be rewarded with a voucher for the difference plus an extra 10%

    lesleysanderson - Good luck for your scan tonight :A

  • Afternoon all. Only been looking in now and again as things have been so hectic. OH has come home from hospital, nothing has been amputated just surgically debraided his foot. He's not allowed to put any weight on it and has to go back to outpatients every day to have antibiotics via IV. Had a test drive today of a wheelchair car (peugeot horizon) and it will be ready in 4 weeks which will mean he can use his electric wheelchair everyday to go out in.

    That sounds fab! :D :T

    :T:T Wow that's great :T:T

    Sorry I really hope it didn't come across as a lesson on how to be a mother :eek::eek::eek::( Especially when I'm still a kid myself ;):p:o I really didn't mean it like that at all and you do amazingly well, I truly admire all your foraging and baking, you're so productive and efficient!

    I know others were enquiring about the milk and I just wanted to point this out incase it wasn't considered. Before I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis, calcium intake didn't even cross my mind :o I know it's extreme but I would hate for anyone to have to face being told at 25 that they're bones are effectively dissolving :(

    Blimey. No offence was taken in the slightest :)

    It was obvious that it was expressed with a friendly concern! A very valid point too!!!!

    Mum has been diagnosed with dreaded osteoporosis too which we didn't realise until her hip completely broke during a fall. It is a commonly undiagnosed condition. :(

    On Tuesday when I was doing my beanz shop in A's, I tried to spend as little as poss on the 7 items (64p) I picked up literally the head of a carrot and the SA didn't bother weighing it! :eek: I only had 8 items so when she just whizzed it past the scales, I said 'WAIT!!! You need to weigh it!' :eek::p:o She said I don't think we can charge for just the head! :rotfl: I said 'Oh it's fine, please weigh it, I have a competition with friends to see who can get the smallest!!!' :o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o It was outta my mouth before my brain registered it :p

    She looked at me completely confuzzled. Well when else would the competition be to get the smallest??!!:rotfl::rotfl:

    Aww sorry about your Mum JJ :( It really is a horrible disease. Mine's predominantly my spine, but my hips too. Mine's caused from years of taking steroids :(
