Sat & Sun 18th & 19th What DFW Things Will You Be Doing?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!

Good morning all, and thanks lpp for starting us off...
I'm pleased to report that I'm feeling a little better today, finally. I still have conjunctivitis and a sore throat but I don't feel as wiped out as I did yesterday that's for sure.
This weekend will have to be low spend, I have no choice.... here's my list.
checked online banking
diet hard (13 days to go)
try and see about doing some school work
flylady (I'm already part way through this)
visit a friend for lunch
have a girlie night in tonight with my mum and sister (OH is out spending big as it's his stag do)
get back the £50 that's owed to me from above night out
get OH to fuel the car as he's used it all week
try not to overdo it, just because I feel a little bit better
Take care all and have a good weekend.

Morning all!
I have been a bit MIA lately but everything has gone a bit mad as i have got a new job! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Left my poisonous workplace yesterday. My Uncle said good luck and bought lunch but told my colleague he was pleased i was going as it meant he could push the company forward. This shows he is bothered and is just being mean as i do the admin , i have been there 10 years and all the customers love me and i know the products and systems so to replace me wont really push the company forward! I don't care now because i have gone! Such a lovely feeling. My 2 colleagues arranged for a big bouquet of oranges flowers (my fave colour if you hadn't noticed) and a good luck balloon!
Onwards and upwards with more money to clear my debts from my full time job!
Today

Afternoon everyone,
Hope the sun is shining where you are! I was up early this morning thanks to the new neighbours...they've also now taken to using the fence as a washing line - technically it's their fence (well, the councils) but the wind has blown things off into our garden, & when DH tried to give it back over the fence he was told it's not theirs?! Neither were the plastic toys chucked over apparently...Not impressed
Anyway, thanks LPP for starting us.
Wannabee - Glad you're on the mend.
OrangeFairy - Congratulations on the new job! Ignore your uncle, no offence as I know he's family but he doesn't sound like a very nice man!!
Today I have/will:-- Food from stores
- Log calories using free app
- Charged phone via pc
- Check online banking
- Trying to declutter a bit & do some flylady
- Must try & do a survey or 2
- Keep a log of noise for council
- Go to second job tonight
- Only make use of tips for drinks, no spending!
- DH did 6 hours overtime, on about 4 hours sleep thanks to the neighbours! Instead of the TV blaring they were talking really loudly in their garden at gone midnight
- Catch up on yesterday's thread
