:) [STRIKE]go through cupboards and freezer and work out meal plan/shopping list - have done so well the last 2 weeks and have spent less than £50 on food shopping :T
[/STRIKE] went shopping and spent £12/3 :T think that's it expect milk, bread and a little fruit at the end of the week. Think I will get away with spending £65 for 3 weeks for 3 people :money:

ex-mil gave me 2 bags of turkey & gammon. Took one to bro's and made a pasta bake and will use the other later in the week in fajitas for dd ;)

I think that'll do for today! Have a great day everyone, hope it's as gloriously sunny where you are as it is here x

  • My main aim today is to get some stuff on ebay.

But smaller things I'm doing today:

Aiming for a NSD - wasn't going to happen as my daughter had a birthday BBQ to go to so I would have needed diesel to get her there, but the party is cancelled now due to the weather.

Make a curry with the chicken that I took out to defrost (instead of my usual sunday night takeaway)

Come up with a few ideas for Xmas presents. It is coming around so fast & I usually leave all my shopping until the last minute then spend money unnecessarily because I panic buy. Planning now means I can get things over the next few months, so December & January I hopefully won't be so skint!

havent posted in one of these threads for ages but reading through your posts I find I'm doing a lot of 'DFW' stuff today without even realising!!

    - checked internet banking and credit card statements
    - moved topcashback money (£27) into bank account!! (at last, only been waiting 6 month for it to clear!!)
    - need to get some washing done and hang on the line (dont have a dryer so no temptations there!)
    - prepared corned beef hotpot for tea
    - housework
    - browsing MSE boards
    - def a NSD as not leaving the house unless its to pick other half up from work!!

    yay.
    on the road to recovery..:o

    Hey all :)
Thanks for the lovely welcome, or should that be rewelcome?!
We met my family at the seaside yesterday which was lovely, if rather warm, despite slathering on the factor 50 (yes, really) I managed to pick up a couple of nasty bits of sunburn, must have missed some spots :( it is nothing compared to last years burns though, and thankfully not painful at all.

Today will be an NSD, as we plan not to go anywhere so we don't have to close the house up (it gets too hot!).
    Other things:

    - just checked bank, £30 left and about £11 in my wallet - hope to have some of that left by payday on Friday!
    - started doing next month's budget
    - clicks and searches etc
    - maybe try and do some surveys
    - washing is hanging on the line
    - NSD

Hope you are all having a lovely sunday
Clicking, searching and surveying my way to a life of debt freedom!

Checked this month's budget, have managed accrue £25.00 savings by careful spending and slightly being generous with some bills allowances :).

So, using my "Modified Rule of Three" Rule i.e. 50% to Budget Contingency Fund (BCF) ; 25% to Debts and 25% to Personal Spending - means that equates to £12.50 BCF, £6.25 to debts and £6.25 to Personal Spending.
