Trying for a Baby Part 8

TeamLowe - I agree, dreams of announcing at Christmas coming true would be so lovely.... such a dangerous game to play, but I still let myself do it!! I really really really hope you do get to announce a pregnancy at Christmas this year!
I think I've said before that for me I feel it's ok to get my hopes up and dream as long as I'm prepared to deal with the disappointment if necessary... Otherwise I have to spend the whole time being negative which I find very boring!
Right now I have decided surely I must be pregnant because a) we DTD on the 3 days before OV day and b) I am allegedy more fertile after a miscarriage. But looking back at my old FF charts we DTD 'enough' before OV on several occasions and I didn't get a BFP!!! TTC makes us all a bit mad I think.
I actually quite like the 2ww, so much more relaxing not stressing about trying to pinpoint OV and have enough s e x if we don't feel like it!
Firefly - fingers crossed AF stays away
T2D - massive ((hugs)). So sorry about cd1
codemonkey - a good sense of humour will get you through so much (well, that's my theory..). Chocolate and sofa sounds like a good plan. Hope things get better for you soon.
LilyMay - did you decided what to do about resigning? I am thinking about resigning from my job but we can't afford to lose one salary at the moment so I really need to find something new before I do. Somedays I really want to just shout I QUIT at my boss - it would be so liberating but I'd probably be terrified the next day.
Tinks - nice to hear from you. Good luck for the scan next week!!
LeopardLady - ooh how exciting about the MWC (Abis, thanks for saving me a google!!). What an amazing opportunity.
Abis - hope you feel better soon, [STRIKE]and that QQ's ss-ing is right...[/STRIKE]
I'm so bored at work today - but just saved myself over £100 on my home insurance for next year so feeling very smug and :money:!!0 -
Am very sad today. No other word for it. I was also planning in my head telling people at Christmas - especially as we are home in Australia for the first time in 5 years. It would have been so nice.
Stoopid body. AF was definitely in the 'late' region this month. Part of me wished I tested this morning so I knew, and didn't have to find out at work.
Anyway, I have bitten the bullet and written to a fertility clinic, and will have to get started on that now. I will move myself to the +12m thread too.0 -

What with the PMA graph and now this.... I'd have to agree :rotfl:
My DH just found my secret stash of OV digi tests :eek::eek: I 'handed in' all of my OV tests and my thermometer about three months ago when we decided it was all getting a bit stressful but then two days later the digi tests I'd bought on ebay arrived....
The conversation went like this (after much notatallimpressedness from DH):
DH: You kept telling me you just 'knew' you were fertile, and now I know you've been doing these tests!!!
Me: No, I promise you, I only did a test on Sunday (that is actually true!), and we had s e x loads before then because I knew I was fertile.
DH: Well how did you know then?
Me: There's this stuff which...err... comes out of your....err...vag....
DH: Yeah, I know, it's called WEE and you've been putting it on those TESTS WHICH YOU SAID YOU WOULDN'T USE!
Me: No, honestly, it's this other stuff which is...
He decided at that point he had enough information.

Huge Hugs T2D. Finding out at work sucks big time. Maybe making that appointment with the FS will be enough to temp fate;)
Hope the arsenal of chocolate is helping you to feel better Codemonkey.

Just burst out laughing and scared the cat off my knee !! I remember explaining EWCM to OH too, he thought it was pretty gross but did listen til the end.
Sooooo, i know i was supposed to be stopping TTC, but me n OH just can't resist the temptation to carry on. It's just something we both want so much, to hell with the organisational side of things, the baby won't mind if it doesn't have it's own bedroom right away !!
Codemonkey that really does sounds like a day from hell !! Well done you for braving the meeting though ! Eat some rice to help settle your stomach.:o
T2T - i'm sorry that this wasn't your month, i hope you get some answers at the clinic.0 -
MV - glad to see you're feeling positive, i love a good graph0
