Write a formal complaint, based on your statement i would say you would have a high change of success.

However, one thing bothers me. If you paid while placing the order, why did they charge the deliver to your statement??

Some catalogues give you the option of next day delivery for a price.

doesn't explain why it wasn't change at order stage.

Why are people talking about complaints or boycotting them in future if they refuse to remove the marker?

It may well be for a very small amount of money, and the OP did pay up as soon as the mistake was realised, but the late payment marker is... well, an accurate flag that they were late paying a due fee.

By all means I'd give it a shot at asking politely - we all forget things or muck up now and then, and I'd find this very annoying - but talking about boycotting them or complaints is absolute madness, surely?!

well, the reason i say to make a complaint is had it not been for them billing postage separate from the main order, this would not have happened to OP.

...........And the fact that OP stated that they did not check her statement - this charge did not come out of thin air!

    Erm, I would say not.

Based on her statement, she admits its her fault and they are well within their rights to mark as so.

You can't complain when no wrong has been done - the clue is in the name.

What you mean to say is she should politely request.

Your definition of high chance of success is indeed interesting - as I would say it's pretty low, but worth a try.

And which ever way she was billed - it was her negligence that caused this.
