(how is everyone making chips out of potatoes with no oil!?)
I'd slice up the spuds to be like chips, then steam them in the microwave until they're soft, but firm, then dry fry them on a medium heat, turning often so they don't burn.

Having to eat them like that AND with no salt and vinegar would be torture :rotfl:

As its only for a fortnight:

    Red Sky crisps (any flavour)
    Mr Kipling Cherry Bakewells
    West Country cheddar
    Finest coleslaw
    Baguette

    Longterm

    cheddar
    prawns
    bread
    tea
    watercress
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

    one life, live it!
  • Crusty bread/in the form of flour, salt, sugar, yeast

    Smoked bacon

    Chicken

    Tomatoes

    Frozen peas

And potatoes. Or I would swap bread ingredients for a sack of spuds.

Can't make a bacon sandwich with potatoes, though.

    tea
    sugar
cadbrys fruit and nut (see how I have cleverly included both fruit and protein)
    cheese
    and bread...

but if tea and sugar weren't counted I would have
    chocolate
    cheese
    bread
    beans
    orange juice
wine (a sort of fruit really, and useful for helping you forget that you want something else)
    ...and I still have 6...

its really hard and I'm a fussy eater - I usually live on soup, cereal and sandwiches!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I saw this thread just before going out to collect a parcel from the post office, so thanks very much for giving me something interesting to think about while I was standing in the queue! :T

Based on your original question, my list would be:
    1. Bread
    2. Eggs
    3. Avocados (good thinking, VJsmum! :T)
    4. Tomatoes
    5. Pesto sauce, for added flavour so I don't die of boredom before the two weeks are up! ;)
In reality, though, I grow some of my own veg so, even in a bad year like this one, I would have some extra veg I could harvest. On this basis, my list would be:
    1. Bread
    2. Eggs
    3. Cheese
    4. Tomato puree (then I could make ratatouille with my HG veg)
    5. Apples
I don't really drink or use milk, so could I swap that for a jar of instant coffee, please? (If I can't, I'm not playing any more! :p)
Back after a very long break!
