So you open the drawer and 5-30 seconds later you can't close it?0 -

The manufacturer or retailer?
When did you purchase the thing?
When was it delivered?
Did you buy online or in a store?
Did you have an opportunity to inspect the model before purchase?
If so, did the model you saw in the shop exhibit the same [STRIKE]feature[/STRIKE] fault?
It is the retailer you have to convince.
There really is not much point of trying to convince people on a forum to change their minds.0 -

When did you purchase the thing? Currys
When was it delivered? Tue 14/08/2012
Did you buy online or in a store? In Store
Did you have an opportunity to inspect the model before purchase? Yes
If so, did the model you saw in the shop exhibit the same fault? No
Back to the shop Monday, took some more measurements.
With drawer hard over to right touching side wall there is 1.7cm gap on ours and 1.2cm on the one in the shop. As shop had already swapped drawers on Saturday 18th I was given the opportunity to swap the freezer for another of the same model.
I am awaiting delivery of this and will let you all know if this fixes thefault.
I know that my task is/was to convince the shop. I was just after some opinions and knowledge if others had seen the same fault.Regards

It is not a flaw, but a quite well known design feature.
You can fully solve any problem by unloading the drawers fully begore taking them out completely. If it does not jam when half way open, it is normal.0 -
I certainly wouldn't say it's a design feature, I would say it's poorly designed.
Beko stuff can be a bit like this sometimes but I'd certainly visit Curry's and see what they say, if that fails try their Head Office.0 -

Hi All,
Update on the status
We recieved another Fridge Freezer last week.
Delivery men were very suprised about the reason for the replacement. They even suggested that I check the drawers on the new FF (before they carried it in to the house) and the gap between the drawers and the body was 1.2cm
The drawers slide out and back in without any agro
So Far So Good (Touch wood)
Many thanks to the helpfull staff at the Leicester (Fosse Park) branch for their help.
Give the delivery men a raise (they deserve it for forward thinking)
See later post for update...Regards

Had an irate call from the wife today that the drawers have started sticking again.
Back to Curry's on Saturday.
This time the horrid thing is going back for good.Regards

Curry have agreed to swap for a different model (Hotpoint Ice Diamond) so this should be the end of this tale of frustration.
I am never going to buy another BEKO product again.Regards
