Morning all, wet and windy here but Jack enjoyed his walk. Just got back from a weeks lovely holiday in Kefalonia..... it was boiling and very beautiful. Could only afford it because of this site and Martin's great advice for reclaiming PPI. Now back to being OS and saving for a cheaper trip in a few years
Well done to all those who got the A level results they needed and commiserations to those that didn't. Now need to get my holiday washing dry:eek: TD will be on but some is linen so will need to go on rack. Hope you are right about tomorrow Halight I'll be sitting out topping up my tan:rotfl:
Hugs to all in need esp Molly, Penpin(enjoy your holiday) and LW makes me smile every time you have Derek and Clive to stay:) Have a good day all.£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund
Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

Hi all.
Hilstep I hope your DD's toe mends quickly - ouchy!Just one more thing. I know its wet in most places today but has anyone else heard that tomorrow could end up being the hottest day of the year ?
Poor little Clive has been feeling a bit under the weather today - didn't want his brekkie, which is most unlike him, and then he was sick.:( He seems better now though, and has recovered enough to want to eat. I suspect he'd ingested a load of fur; they're both about due to have their coats clipped, from the look of them. I'll keep an eye on him today, but I don't think it's anything to worry about. Derek's fine - currently trying to take over the sofa!:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

morning all,
weather here not too bad at all. Halight have not been out to our chooks yet, they can look after themselves as they are in a very safe enclosed area, We have just had the last of our new girls start to lay so now getting 5 eggs most days. been giving them away to all and sundry as the school is closed none of the teachers around to take them.
Already been out to town to change a pair of curtains for DD bedroom. Bought 90" X 90" needed 90cm X 90cm:(:o
have just put them up and the room looks lovely in Lilac and Purple.
DW has just raided my wallet so she can lunch with the ladies from work.
DD is off for a sleepover tonight so we may pop out to the local for a meal and pint or too as well.
congrats to all A levellers and their families.Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

Morning all, gosh, posting two days running, that's a first! congratulations to all those who had exam results this week, well done and remember if you did not get everything you wanted it really is not the end of the world, there are always options. Taking a sneaky few minutes in work to log on here, 3rd day back after almost 4 weeks off for my operation and feeling very tired, just thankful its not too busy so I can ease myself in gradually. Weather in Dublin is very grey, was raining earlier this morning when I was coming into work, rain has now stopped so hoping for some sunshine now. Hoping to hear about my car today, it may be ready for collection, if not it will be Monday so another weekend without transport, probably means I have to tidy the house instead....off for a coffee, will check back later. Hugs to anyone who needs or wants one, I have plenty to give away.Cait, at long last signing on:rotfl:0

Sistercas well done to your dd on her results, off to uni now eek
Have good days all xx
i know , i shall miss her so much we do so much together, DD2 will miss her incredibly too
she has alot of her stuff for her accommodation already , just needs bedding and food now
im really slow to get going this morning , im not even dressedDD1 has gne to work , DD2 is making buns . I have done a shopping list from mysuperm@arket and will go to sainsbugs later. we were trying to emulate the £50 shop on superscr!mpers but havent quite managed to do it , ( £39 instead of £30 , it includes stuff to do a takeaway , but i have quite a lot of stuff in so never would have managed it if i had to get everything from scratch) still it was a good exercise and my shopping list is quite a bit lower than normal
went to ike@ yesterday and picked up some curtains for DD2 , they come really long and you cut them to length. , i did that and there is enough material to make another pair of curtains for my bedroom :j all for £20, i have some lining too that i can add as i like it dark
ive put some washing in but it has started to rain, so it will be hung around the house
redruby glad the plasterers have done a good job x0 -

We also end giving eggs away, Even more so now the three young ones are laying.
Still I have always found that if you help others then others will help you.
You never know when you made need a little help in something. And the people who you have given eggs too just may remember your good deed gift and offer you there help.:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
