Loan PPI - RBS

You are in a very sticky situation.claire1567 wrote: »Hi Can anyone offer me some advice ???
When the Claims Company gave you a contract to sign it will have been for them to represent you in all PPI complaints.
You are on a payment plan against a loan a complaint has been made against. Make no mistake, there has to have been a complaint (by you or the Claims Company) for the Bank to award redress.
You now stand to have all the redress off set against the loan arrears as well as owing a hefty fee to the Claims Company.

Hi,
I'm not greedy but have been offered a nice amount by Natwest for loans I have taken out in the past. In all I had 5 loans going back nearly 10 years most of which I am sure had PPI. The loans ranged between £3k and £8k. I know that when I took out at least one of these loans I was told I should except the PPI to be more certain to get the loan, so I know I was mis-sold now. Anyway Natwest have said they have checked records but 'are unable to confirm precisely what information I was given at the time so as a gesture of goodwill they are offering me just under £2k.' Is this a fair amount? Or should I be taking my complaint to FOS?
