Today has not gone quite as planned. Spiralling away into a negative pit - not good.
Not done anything much of practical use either; keep over-thinking two things [or people to be accurate] [STRIKE]which[/STRIKE] who have upset me - then half an hour later remember what I was supposed to be doing. By which time the water is cold. Again. <sigh>
Daft Dogs are being sweet and following me around - what would I do without their unconditional love? :smileyhea
Hmm. It was a rhetorical question, but I have the answer: Take to Drink. A large one please - the failed attempt at clearing up did reveal an unopened bottle of Baileys <Not for long!>0 -
I hope you are ok, thinking of you!
Have a Bailey's for meXx

Had one for me, then one for you Be Lucky, which was probably one too many. Hic.
Very reflective evening. Most of the time I'm managing ok - then someone makes a throwaway comment and ..bleugh.. flat on the floor, worrying about everything that is not going right. Feeling aggrieved at some folks' insensitivity.
Ok. Lesson. Withdraw from contact with these negative people. Be open only with those who are trying to live well..
Sounds like a plan.

Agreed!
Picture the scene: you're standing up on top of a chair, and someone is standing on the ground beside you. You grab hands and try to pull them up to your level. But you'll find they'll pull you down much easier...Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -

That is so true! (One of my maxims is: Never look down on anybody unless you're reaching out to give them a hand up - which is often much harder than allowing oneself to be pulled down to their level).
Today I have put yesterday's frustrations firmly behind, and started by doing something nice for someone who genuinely deserves a treat - always guaranteed to improve one's mood.
Now - I really must do some housework - where did all those cobwebs come from? ..They would not create a good impression on Probate Chap tomorrow! :rotfl:0 -
Hope it goes well with the probate chap..... I too would like to know WHERE DO ALL THESE COBWEBS COME FROM.... I am yet to find the spider ...
Thank you also for your lovely message I am fine... Was on a wonderful "pity party"I was even tired of my moaning so god knows how the o/h was dealing with me bless him:rotfl: But I am back and needing to "get on with it"... Have also "dealt" with a couple of negatives in my life... ie told them how it is... so although feeling a tad guilty I feel blessed to get it off my chest... Onwards and definately Upwards... Thank you again....x

:jSo true, I have to keep remembering this myself.
 for the drinkies. Sorry I have not a lot time to deal with anything as RL has chucked me a series of curve balls .... not overly easy to deal with and some have left me really wondering about people and their expectations.
Do hope you can manage the cleaning, and Mr probate chappie works out all OK for you.

Hello Diary and dear Friends, :hello:
Well.
Probate Chappie was here for over four hours yesterday. A nice man, but I was taken aback when he began by giving me his card and saying:
"My business is not regulated - which is good news for you!"
...What? What?
However it became apparent that I'm not quite typical of his usual clients; he specialises in sorting out finances for old ladies who have retired to Spain without doing their homework first.
I have avoided the common pitfalls; when he realised this we moved on to future planning. More holiday cottages - "don't worry, you'll get a mortgage" - to provide income. Hmm.
He also tried to offer me a job, sorting out webpage text for some of his other clients (not old ladies)..
Certainly gave me lots to think about. We need to have a family pow-wow - and I want to find out a bit more about him.
Meanwhile a visitor has arrived for the weekend, giving me an excuse not to have to think about Probate Chap until Monday, when he said he'll email me A Plan. We shall see.
Bast I do hope you're feeling a bit better about RL now - sometimes it is necessary to let go for a bit - then gather up the reins again; you can do it!
Missrlr likewise, hope you are having a good weekend.0 -
