Angry Neighbour has gone.please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »What a fabulous post Clever Dog! And I can see where you get your name from, being able to have your own MSE profile and all!
I know lots of Humans who are too daft for that!!
Hello Of-Course-You-Are-Luckythank you for writing to me - you makes me and Mistress lucky too, having such lovely peoples as you to correspond* with!
(*I knows this word - it means important and interesting letters; that is definitely what we is making
).
please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »Don't you worry your pretty head about money either, I know Master will always make sure you have everything you need and more besides. Just make sure you give her lots of cuddles to keep her happy Xx
Sorry Lucky-Person, you forgets; Master did stop. Was his job to do the money and the writing numbers; Mistress says she's not very good at it but I can't help.
Why not you say? Well one problem is I counts in feets and though I is good at it - for a dog- 'coz there is four of us here so that is Uncle's feet and Aunt's feet and Fat One's feet and four are mine of course, but I think the moneys is more than that so I'm stuck unless I count table legs which is silly.
The writing numbers has to go in something called Tax Return. Mistress has been saying lots of bad words about that. She needs help from another two-legs - trouble is, Master was the person who looked at everyone's writing numbers in our family.
Mistress covers table in pieces of paper, curses at it then goes out in the garden - is this another two-legs ritual I don't understand?
Perplexed love and Licks,

Oops CD, that is why I should be called Please-Let-me-be-Clever!! I hope I did not upset you too much by writing Master not Mistress
. I am not very bright (though I do suspect that Master is looking after both you and Mistress still :A).
I think Mistress underestimates how clever she is too. I'm sure she will get through this tax-return lark. Perhaps she could get help online?

Good morning Diary and MSE friends, :hello:
Yesterday was abandoned due to feeling rotten.
Unfortunately I wasn't the only one; having got Blind Dog sorted out [for now at least], last night Old Auntie went downhill rapidly. She's a year older than BD and suddenly looks like she's given up. She's had some painkillers for her osteoarthritis, but she threw up her dinner in the night and now is just lying next to DH's bed, with a sad expression.
Oh and Clever Dog's gone walkabout.
The only good news of the day is that Tenant One has paid his rent, though is still ignoring my emails. Hmm. :think:0 -
I disappear for 2 days and have loads to catch up on!!!!!
Loving your 'talent' Robin! Can I ring you too?!I think you're probably right. Karma. Pay it forward. That sort of thing. It'll make you smile

You are very clever if you're spelling out words! You know these ones too: W.A.L.K.? B.A.L.L.? M.S.E.?!You live in the soggy green place, don't you HeadAboveWater? No surprise you can't get much practise swimming there - I've tried and the water is always cold!
Soggy green place? Yes that'll be me. But it's home and I love itMoney is one that goes a metre over my head for a start. :rotfl:
lol
I think with a bit of practise and enough of tables, you could definitely learn the basics!
Morning Robin. Yay for the rentHopefully there's more good news to come today. It is still early!!
Hope you're feeling better today.Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Hello WoRld,
Calamity! (- Is my word of the day). Mistress has tied me up! Oh the shame of it, I is so depressed.
..And I was having such fun playing with New Dog at Pepe's farm, before Mistress came to find me..please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »Oops CD, that is why I should be called Please-Let-me-be-Clever!! I hope I did not upset you too much by writing Master not Mistress.

Hello NewLeaf, I is most def-in-it-ely of the female persuasion.Uncle BD is feeling better, he's asleep in the sunshine. Poor Old Aunty isn't very well today though.. Seems like always someone in this house feels not-so-good, needing help. What can I do?
Don't think Mistress wants cuddles from me at the moment - she won't talk to me since putting the chain on me - so will have to pass on love from you later.HeadAboveWater wrote:You are very clever if you're spelling out words! You know these ones too: W.A.L.K.? B.A.L.L.? M.S.E.?!

Good afternoon Diary and Dear Friends, :hello:
Have mucked up m'time clock again; finally got into the heavy-duty finances last night and ended up watching the dawn before going to bed.
It's a shame that I missed a beautiful morning, but worth it to make some progress with the paperwork that I'd been shying away from. The breakthrough was deciding to work out each 'department' completely separately - then at the end the sums required for the dreaded Tax Return should be much easier <she said hopefully>.
Clever Dog has been most contrite since I let her off the chain; she has stayed near-by all the time since, despite the door being open while I slept - I know this because there are no footprints in the wood-ash that I accidentally spilled on the top steps last night- which means she hasn't gone further than the patio and the lawn.
Old Auntie is a bit brighter today, thank goodness; I've put her on the same diet and medication as Blind Dog which seems to have settled her. This is a huge relief as Dorothy52's words have been going round in my head - do not want to leave that last painful gift of love a day too late for either of my Oldies..
An unexpected visitor yesterday was a pleasant surprise, though made me realise how close I'm coming to being "the mad dog-woman on the hill" - Visitor was clearly taken aback when I included Daft Dogs naturally in our conversation, for example.0 -
Here I an again, Robin, in tears after reading your wonderful and poignant description of 'that last painful gift of love'. That's exactly what it is, and it is such a responsibility isn't it. I have no doubt that PC will be patiently waiting at the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, entrusting you with the decision and knowing, as you will, when the time is right.
I remember your very first post when you asked us to give you a gentle nudge as regards sorting out the finances, so I was so pleased to hear that you are cracking on and getting things sorted, well done you. I don't post every day but I most certainly do check in with you and worry if we haven't heard from you or CD for a couple of days, so it's good to hear that you are settling in nicely and I too enjoy hearing about life in a part of the world where I have never visited. I loved the story of your foster daughter and am sure that she did too, and I'm sure it will be lovely for you to have her and her family visit, and again I am quite certain that PC will approve of your allowing your friends and family use his cottage to let them stay and enjoy a holiday while providing you with company and support.
Hello to you, too, CD, you naughty girl wandering off like that and making us all worry - I hope you enjoyed your adventure though!0
