Thanks for all your greetings, and Happy New Year to Missrlr and Amber (don't think either of you have diaries atm?).

Yesterday I didn't have time to tidy up my thoughts about the ending year, or contemplate aims and possibilities for the one ahead.

    2014, eh?

..RL is calling; will have a think about it all while clearing up the wreckage of last night's entertainment. :grinheart

    Hello Diary, :hello:

Awake before dawn again, lol. :p

Lots of new diaries have popped up; best of luck to all authors in achieving their aims this year. :) :T

Looking back on the past year; cannot really say am confident flying solo yet so will be carrying on, plodding, into 2014.

2013 ended quietly at the Nest; Divo Four cooked dinner for us, DGD, DS2 & GF, then we played board games until it was time to try and eat a dozen grapes on the strokes of midnight. The boys succeeded, I could only manage eight - hope that doesn't reduce the quota of good luck for the year ahead. :o

It looks like my Divos will be scattering further in 2014:
DS1 has to go away indefinitely for work.
DS2's GF wants them both to move to the Capital.
DS3 & GF3 are tempted to stay in Asia (told me neither of them had to discipline their pupils or remind 'em to pay attention even once during the first term - so it's far more rewarding than teaching in Western schools).
DS4 is not quite independent yet, but well on the way.

It's daft; for so long DH and I planned for this time in our lives but now that future has gone. Am still finding it hard to believe a complete year has passed without DH in it. :A
..Seeing that written down still stops me dead. Shouldn't, but it does.

 Guess getting past this block must be my ambition for 2014.

I tried to write some words to help you over that 'stopping dead' moment, but I couldn't. I so want to wrap you up in love and be there for you, but I can't even write words.

There are some people on the boards that are wise and helpful, always to help in someone else's darkest moment. You are one of the those people. Not afraid to give a virtual kick up the what-knot, in some cases either! You deserve peace and happiness and I really hope you get that robin.

Dearest Robin, I would say it most certainly not daft to feel this way. Mr R was so clearly your soul mate and having him taken from you in such a cruel and quick way is just wrong. It is still early days yet, after all 2013 was your first year without him. You have had further losses too over the last year and are having to reeducate your mind to a future so different to the one you have planned.

I agree with Piq's comments above whole heartedly. I wish you many days of happiness in the next year, you most definitely deserve it

Lots of love and warm hearted well wishes
