£14 is still too much, I pay £7.50 for no limits.
I'd hazard a guess that that's as part of a bundle though, so not a straightforward comparison.

What are your LLU options (hopefully not just TalkTalk)?

We've got: AOL, O2/Be, Sky/Easynet, Talk Talk, Tiscali & Tiscali TV

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

I would go with Be, they are unlimited and I currently pay £12 per month for "Be unlimited", with 2/3mb download speed I would go for "Be Value", which is still unlimited usage..

    It's time to switch!

You have certainly been paying far more than necessary with Plusnet. If you switch to Sky now you would get six months broadband free (normally £10 per month) and a £25 M&S voucher if you join on-line. This is totally unlimited broadband, so you don't need to worry about any pathetic monthly usage limits as with Plusnet.

    It's a no brainer.

    Ah-ha, I see...

I don't buy Sky products, but I will certainly look into my other options.

    Thanks again, folks!

If you won't use Sky, then 02 is the only other obvious LLU option on that list.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Wow macman and everyone else, very helpful info - you guys will save me loads! :D

    Regards all

Worth noting that Plusnet Pro is now an add-on (for £5 a month), so you can keep that aswell if you wish.

Also worth noting you can cap your usage in your account settings. But it will slow down after you go over.

You could try and see if you can get FTTC in your area, plusnet have just released their new (upto) 76mb (down)/19.5 (up) package. You get 250GB usage a month with it.

Thanks chaps and chapesses. Timalay, we are not (and unlikely to become) fibred up living as we are in the wilds of West Wiltshire. For that reason we haven't got cable either...

Ah, well as I said you can still cap your usage (it slows down to 256kbps when you go over), also you can purchase the pro ad-on separately for £5 extra a month.
