Primus phone charges

When I first started using Primus 10 years ago the connection charge was 3p per minute. lately the charge is 17p per minute. The charge is now is for a full minute for a ringing connection only, that is before the call is answered. MSE recommend Primus (Newcall) for land line connection, which admittedly is cheaper than BT, but I think connecting calls seems to be dearer. I have written to Primus about this but haven't had a satisfactory answer. Does anyone have one?
