Vodafone charges
Ok so I up graded about 2 months ago. Swapped providers and went from o2 to vodafone. 1st bill was £191. I was shocked but put it down to being in turkey although I used it very little as o had a Turkish sim. Roaming was off.
This last month my charges are £304! No holidays! It wound seem I went over my call charges. £100 in 3 days. Needles to say I have canceled my direct debit until I get some answers.
Has this happened to any one else. What was there outcome?

They've probably changed your billing date (and the date you get your new minutes etc) and not bothered to tell you.
Same thing happened to a friend of mine (had a £130 bill) and they gave them a partial credit on the bill as a goodwill gesture.0 -
Really I hope they will offer me this. I've made many calls already about billing issues. The online bills are difficult to understand!
It's ridiculous that the charge 55p/min (Inc vat) for calls, it's not that to use your phone in Europe with other companies!0 -

What's 55p/min? Is is abroad? If so, it's not ridiculous as even in UK most providers charge about 35p/min for out of your allowance minutes. All the charges are published, easy to find, and nobody forced you to buy a contract that charges you find ridiculous.0 -
Ally1602 unfortunately Turkey isn't covered by the EU roaming regulations0

Hi I came back from Egypt in June and received a bill for £126 for roaming charges. I was mortified. I did turn off data roaming and only switched on my phone twice (for a short time) on both occasions when my son needed to check something on the internet. I received one text whilst in Egypt (the day after the last use) saying I had used 7mb of data. This made me decide not to turn it on again until I came back to England. My bill is unclear. It shows the usage on both dates, but the megabytes used are all the same on all the entries even though the durations are different. so I don't know how they calculated £126. I hear lots of similar stories about people being hit with massive roaming charges. I don't travel abroad very often, 4 years being the last time. I got a text telling me I had used 7mb of data, why could the company not send a text when you arrive abroad to make you aware.0

Apparently there has to be €50 spending cap "both in our Europe Zone and ...Rest of World Zone", so it is impossible to spend more than €100 on data in two days.I hear lots of similar stories about people being hit with massive roaming charges.
