I have just taken out the probably best deal on the Iphone 4S , 16GB on Tesco's own network. £100 upfront and £20/months for 24months.
Included are 750mins, 5000 texts and a massive 1GB of data.
I like the capped contract as I can't run up an excessive bill when abroad (or at home) as you need to top it up like PAYG for allowances above the cap. As my daughter also has a Tesco contract we get family perks on top which you can choose, we opted for an extra data allowance of 250MB but you can also opt for extra mins if you prefer.
Total cost over 24 mths £ 580, so cheaper than Martins tip.
This deal was unavailable online but you can get it in store although stocks seem to be very low. Good luck :-)Hope this is useful for someone.0 -
Hello, I was looking at the cheap iPhone recommendations for the iPhone 4s and and 5. I was concerned to see that the cheap deals you were recommending have a voice allowance of only 50 minutes, and a data allowance of only 250MB.
I think these deals would be a real false economy for an average user, as they would quickly exceed the 50 minute voice allowance and then be liable for out of bundle charges of 35p+ / minute. Equally for data, an average iPhone customer would easily exceed 250MB, resulting in additional monthly charges for the user.
The customer would quickly find themselves stuck in a 2 year contract paying expensive additional charges each month.
Wouldn't it make more sense to filter out tariffs with inappropriately low allowances, and only highlight cheap tariffs with a minimum of say 300 minutes of voice and 500Mb of data?0 -

No they are not appropriate recommendations, see post 21.Feb 2008, 20year lifetime tracker with "Sproggit and Sylvester"... 0.14% + base for 2 years, then 0.99% + base for life of mortgage...base was 5.5% in 2008...but not for long. Credit to my mortgage broker0 -
I got a 4S for £31 p/month, unltd texts and internet, 500 mins, but it doesn't seem to be showing on the comparison tool. Please respond to mine and others' posts with courtesy and kindness- and I will not deliberately disrespect you. Down with the trolls!0

Prepared to pay up front £1-100
Can afford £5-25 per month
Carrier O2 or Tesco
My chosen deal:
O2 5c 32GB mins:500 texts:Unltd data:500MB Handset cost £99 Monthly Cost £23 Contract Length 24 mnths All in cost £651.99 Get it from the Carphone Wharehouse.
When the link is clicked it doesn't take you directly to the deal instead it takes you to the consumer home page. After searching manually for the deal it doesn't seem to exist; the nearest to it costs £28pm.
This doesn't seem to be a very useful tool if it doesn't produce accurate results or if you then have to do the searching yourself.0
