They should test the website more often then, dingbats! nobody in the right mind turns down free stuff!!!

I was returning something from that last glitch where you got the shampoo etc for free and you only has to spend like 1.50 or something of low value but I never got the freebie, typical, invoice said it was unavailable so I returned the lipbalm as I didn't want it without the freebie.

Anyway, the sales assistants said they thought I was one of the people who had been ordering stuff on the website and trying to scam them,or something along those lines.

I missed this, hope you all get some goodies.

I bet the sales assistants wouldn't have said no if they'd had the chance to get anything free/reduced in price. That's such a rotten thing to say to a customer. I would have been mortified and never used the Body Shop again in shame!

I'm one of these people who tends to ignore the deals on and off unless it's a Birthday or Christmas. Last year I got a lot of great deals from Marks and Spencers on toys for my daughter. Of course, I carry on spending with them throughout the year so they get plenty of custom from me. The more I buy at an online shop, the more I think of them when looking to buy something. Some shops (usually the ones that had a sale or a glitch to introduce me or keep me going back) seem to get a lot more custom from me lol.

    Clever marketing psychology...

It might harm the Body Shop for a few hours when they get these glitches but long term I think they win through the custom they generate. As someone said about Mr T's, ultimately they know what they're doing. If the glitches were such an issue in terms of loss, they would have sorted out their website design by now and the glitches would not be there! The BS is one of the big ones for site glitches that keep on happening!

I think certain companies encourage the extra site traffic and custom generated by the odd 'lucky find' glitch... I mean, it works doesn't it, we keep on going back to browse and buy!

I reckon your orders will be cancelled. Good luck if they send them out but I doubt it.

Got to disagree there, I've never had a BS glitch cancelled:p

Can anyone please please explain how the cards work?? I have never bothered with one before. I only ever shop one line with body shop, so is it of any use to me?? Can I give it to a friend to use on her birthday or has it got my name on it so to speak ?

You get 10% off orders and get a stamp for each purchase over £10. I have one and my 2 local stores will put a stamp on my card if I take either my email from ordering online or the list of products from inside my parcel (one store said they wanted the email so they could see the price paid and check it was over £10, but often is isn't when I have got stuff on offer/glitch but the other store is happy with the list from the parcel which doesn't have the price paid on!). On the website it says you only get stamps for instore purchases though so I guess it depends on the store whether or not they do it for you. In your birthday month you get £5 off anything in store (or something up to £5 free) and on your 4th stamp you get £5 off and on your 8th (last stamp) you get £10 off.

I think you can give it to a friend as a gift yes but worth checking up on this before you do!

Yes this is my problem, I don't live near a store. So if I get one and register it online can I then give it to someone to use in store/get the treats? So we would both be using it in effect or would they ask for i.d etc?

Also, would there be any benefits of having two???

In the past when I have tried to add a card - (not these past days) they have taken a bit off but aded postage or messed around with other discounts.

Also when I did put one in the basket to try and get the body polish, the body polish did not come up at half price ?? So would this be because I did not in theory have one - even though it was in the basket -iygwim??

Just a bit confused as each time in the past it always seemed better value not to have one in the basket but to use other codes.

Not sure if I am making any sense -lol.

Dim me, the reason I came on here too was because I have just tried to do a legit order and it won't take any of my cards !! Not sure if it is my cards - although I don't think so - or its just the site been messed up.

    Glitch is back on!

Just ordered twice. So glad i live +7GMT sometimes!
Wouldnt let me register as a new customer for some reason, even though i inputted everything. Had to order all under my normal account. Thats 4 Rewards Cards now, 2 from yesterday, and 2 for today. I could order more, but want to leave some stuff for others, plus running out of ideas for presents! Good luck
