Hi
I'm selling a mobile on ebay and I have had someone ask if im prepared to send to Malta. I'm a little concerned because I'm sure I read on here somewhere about people having problems selling phones to people abroad. Is there a rereason why I sholud only ship to UK and should I be worried?
Also whats the best way to send it if I do? I obviously need to be able to confirm delivery.
Many thanks

could be a scam : easy to do a chargeback if they pay by paypal so you could lose phone and money (residents outside of UK, Canada and USA can't confirm address so not covered by seller protection.) If you do sell it to them I'd ensure you have them pay you by bank transfer otherwise I'd personally say no.

for postage...I think you are only covered up to £32 for sending phones overseas...0

Also carefully check the buyers feedback
if they are a longstanding ebay member then I wouldn't have a problem... I WOULD insist on them having to pay for courier though to protect myself and make sure their insurance covers the value of the phone. There are some decent ones on Ebay

My advice...never send a mobile overseas. Pennylane is quite correct the Royal mail will not insure against loss any mobile worth over £32 if shipped outside the UK.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
