    North - Picture of you.

This is what Khloe Kardashian had as her wedding dance...I had to look it up after hearing it on the prog. ... really nice song.

Also, Janelle - Amazing is lovely.

Thanks for posting your songs, I've really enjoyed reading this thread and listening to some of them :)

I'd really love to walk down the aisle to Staralfur by Sigur Ros (a certain part of it that sounds like a heartbeat to me with romantic strings) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrHYrxRHw8g but not sure it would go down too well!

  • i'm thinking about walking down aisle to bagpipes - i love them but they make me cry so i'm thinking it's not going to be the best if they make me emotional on an alreayd highly emotional day!!
  • I have fallen in love with Christina Perri's A Thousand Years. Don't care that it was written for Twilight - heard it on Strictly, looked it up and it made me cry!

I'm getting married in a church so we are having an organist play which means that I will probably be able to get away with a 'rock' type song, played in a classic style :)

One great big problem that I am having (and i'm really hoping you guys can help) is that I am totally petrified of doing a first dance.
I really dont like the thought of me and my hubby just shuffling about in the middle of the dance floor whilst everyone stares at us.
Thing is, i dont normally mind people looking at me, i dont have these thoughts about walking down the aisle etc, just the dancing.

I'm considering just asking the DJ to announce that we would like everyone to join us for our first dance, or getting all the kids and doing the hokey cokey!

I know my OH would like to do one but has anyone any ideas how I can get over this - it does seem really silly sometimes, other times I wake up in cold sweats about it.
One day, i will be a genius.
One day, they will perfect brain transplantation.

Don't feel you have to do a first dance (we have considered this!) but if you want to do one for your OH how about you get your bridesmaids/a few close friends and let them know how you feel (this way they will be sure to get up and dance when the DJ says) once some have started, others are sure to join in. The thing that worries me most is all the photographs
  • How about getting a few basic lessons in waltz or foxtrot? I reckon 99% of people could get to grips with basic steps. Do that for a minute or so and ask other couples to join in?
