First dance

We spent ages looking for ceremony music, we went for Hymne- Vangelis for my entrance music, and we had an instrumental version of the Etta James song- At last for our signing the register music, I really liked the music then realised it was called At Last and decided it was very appropriate for us as we had been together over 11 years by the time we got married!

First dance song took us ages and we decided we werent going to have one, we dont have a soppy romantic song and I didnt like the idea of just picking one for the sake of it, plus it just isnt us. Anyway, in the end with about a week to go we decided to go for the song we wanted which was the Klaxons- its not over yet! We started off all slow then when the ravey bit kicked in we were able to dance about and we had roped a few close friends to join in, I really enjoyed it and feel it was very us!!

For our first dance we had Michael Buble - Everything. We struggled between that and the Artic Monkeys - Baby i am yours. For our second dance we had Elton John - something about the way you look tonight (one of my fav songs)

I got piped down the aisle (I love a traditional Scottish Wedding) and got piped back up. Luckily I have an extremely talanted cousin who played the keyboard and sang while we signed the register, she also made my wedding cake as my wedding present

We had this beautiful song "Marry Me" by Train http://youtu.be/ghZt2cILcCU to walk down the aisle together for our dedication service. My sister cried!

Sorry if this is a daft question, but what's the 'traditional tuneage'? I presume 'Here Comes The Bride' for the entrance but can't think what it'd be for the exit...

We had a classical piece by Handel for my walk in played by our string quartet, classical just felt more appropriate to the venue, a very grand Victorian town hall. They played a few instrumentals of modern songs for the signing and Elbow's One Day Like this for walking out. For the first dance we had Mirrorball, also by Elbow.

Can you tell I like Elbow a lot?!
