My worst prize was a 'magic talking mirror' from Hamleys. It was a Snow White/Mirror Mirror promotional thing and I was expecting a pink plastic mirror like the disney princess stuff - the kind of thing I hate but my 3 year old loves. When it arrived it was a huge mirror with an ugly, heavy, very ornate plaster frame messily spray painted gold. It weighed a ton and had a cheap electronic box sellotaped to the back with all the wires showing. The voice was a very crackly creepy recording - I think it said 'you are the fairest in the land' but it wasn't clear enough to be sure. It was horrible and wasn't at all suitable for a child - it was clearly made to be used in the shop display rather than to be sold. To make things worse several large chunks of the frame had snapped off in the package. I wrote to Hamleys to complain (hoping they might send a voucher ;)) but they just said that they hoped I could stick the bits back on as it was a 'limited edition' piece so they couldn't replace it . It went straight to the tip!

I don't know whether it is bad but the Paul's Boutique wellies, which when they came were covered in mud and didn't fit. I think someone thought it would be a good idea to send the photoshoot wellies... a quick stern but fair email later, new wellies and a t-shirt! (but, not without trouble from Yodel...) can't complain at the rest though :) especially this month! :D x [i will add it wasn't from PB but BANK fashion... subsequently they have lost my business]

I'd be mortified if the postie pushed those special beads through the door, as I live in flats with a shared postbox! :P
