actually... maybe the 0.50p Zavvi voucher with the vkend draw! :rotfl:
  • Mine have been the huggies wipes I recently won. I wouldnt say they are bad, but just not as good as the others. Especially when I prefer other brands of wipes. I was trying for the nappies or the toys. They are yet to arrive and when they do I will just use them as always.

A "downhill racer" - you sat in a flimsy tube suspended on two huge balls. It kept tipping over + you had to find a suitable hill. We tried but after a few cuts and bruises gave it to someone who wanted to take it to bits to make something else. Don't think they ever made what they had in mind.

Mine goes back to the days of sending off an entry in the post if anyone is that old, it was a Bisto gravy boat and stand, apart from the fact I don't eat gravy it was made of the cheapest earthenware going and missing glaze! Kept it in the pantry for years just to say I had won something. How life changes!

  • I won a tiny piece for a landrover - it costs about 60p to buy - really strange prize to offer and was in the days before I check what the prize was - now I only enter competitions for prizes I want or can give to friends and family

Probably a USB Mug warmer with mug, the mug is like what a workman would use. Although even he might object as it's really cheap and nasty. Certainly not complaining though had some really lovely wins.

Probably not the "worst" but more disappointing - can't remember which competition it was but am sure some of you will remember - I won a "hamper", parcel arrived, opened the box to see a lovely wicker hamper, opened the hamper .......it was EMPTY! It was just that ...... a wicker hamper nothing inside it.
And also possibly the recent Cadburys Unwrap Gold - I won a Cadburys VIP experience which turned out to be tickets to a free event so was offered, as an alternative, either a family pass to Cadburys World (worth £45) or a hamper "FULL" of chocolate - i chose the hamper which arrived yesterday - 2 mugs (with a few sweets in) and a small box of Celebrations - value of probably less than £10!
A home is not a home ..... without a dog

My most disappointing prize was a hamper from a food company. It was quite a long story, they'd run a prize draw for an iPad but then didn't seem to have ever announced the winner. I emailed the ISP and eventually they did pick a winner, and I got a runners-up prize of a hamper.

After all that, it was really disappointing. They'd sent me a hamper full of merchandise - a polo shirt that looked like something a darts player would wear, baseball cap, tacky shot glasses - it all went straight to the local charity shop. It was disappointing because they didn't send me any of their products, which I would have enjoyed much more, and would probably have cost them a lot less to give away!
    2015 comp wins - £370.25
Recent wins: gym class, baby stuff

    Agreed!

After YEARS of comping I am now quite fussy as my time is precious so I am cynical of what prizes are on offer, then when I do win at least I get something great, I don't agree with getting prizes that you won't use and will end up in landfill.
Comping since 1995 Wins - July 2012: Discovery Hamper; £100; August 2012: Portable BBQ, Original Source Shower Gel
