This from duchy sounds interesting....tell me more. What is the product?
I heard the emperor was looking for some new clothes...
OP, if anyone on here *did* know how to change £20k into £100k risk free, do you think they'd
a) still be wasting their time hanging around here?
b) tell you about it?0 -
"Product that is in short supply and reselling at a higher price"
Crude Oil?0 -

I can think of at least one legal way.
It involves buying a particular product that is in short supply and reselling at a higher price. It is completely legal but ethically a lot of people don't like it. There is a small element of risk as the product in question has a limited shelf-life and obtaining it is fairly time intensive but with the kind of stake money you are talking about it is definitely possible. (average purchase price £100-£150 per unit-selling price varies between £300 and £1000)
Otherwise ..............have you seen the matched betting thread ?
Apologies for bumping everyone - Duchy would you PM me please when you have a sec as I dont seem able to send out PMs but I am able to receive them - much appreciated:)
Apologies also to the OP for hijacking:oAll power is from within and therefore under our control0 -

Someone needs to tell that to the petrol companies who have just started to hike the prices once more...0 -
The poster asked a question as to how to turn 20K into 100K in a year. This should be a question that gets the brain ticking as to how it can be done. Seems most people just seem to limit their own thinking and find ways to explain why it can't be done.
The only problem is risk free, no such thing however only a fraction of that initial outlay would have to be risked.
I have a contact who created an internet marketing plugin for chrome web browser. His total costs to have it developed $200, time it took 1 week. Within a month that plugin had sold over $20,000 on the warrior forum (internet marketing forum). It is still selling months later.
So to risk $200 for that return within a month. Ok so with expenses like advertising it on the forum maybe it cost him $300 in total.
I have seen product launches of programs which take about 4 months and £2k to develop turn into million dollar launches many many times.
So actually thinking about it if you want risk free, do matched betting until you have an extra £500 or so. Find out what the market is aching for (easy to do on forums), use that money to develop a digital product (no inventory/overheads) set up a web site and get affiliates and people with large lists to sell it for you. Not only would the money be generated, but you would also have a list of buyers (hottest prospects) that you could email again. So with your profit you create another follow up product, better and more expensive than the first and you have your own list of hot leads to sell that product to as well as leveraging other people's lists.
I have several other ideas too. We haven't even touched on Facebook which can generate money really fast if you know what you are doing. All perfectly legal, ethical and using proper marketing. No bum marketing and nothing blackhat. It can't be done. Someone tell Alan Sugar it can't be done, oh that's right he was busy doing it while people were telling him that.0 -
Nice to see some positive thinking here! You're right, I've seen this story over and over again - not zero risk, or course, but a small outlay can do very, very well if invested in the right product. Finding out what will sell is where the work is - but that costs time, not money.
Edit - the above was in reply to Tami's post!0 -
I'd accept S'ralan has made a lot of money, but I'm not sure it was quite at that rate. To multiply by five is the issue - it would be easy for him *now* to make £80k in a year because he's got a much bigger "pot" to use, but to do it from £20k is very challenging, and if you were to ask him how he could mutiply his current pot by five in twelve months he'd probably scowl.
You're right, though, that questions like this should inspire people to think about how to achieve it. The problem is that ideas are quite hard to come by. Your contact with the marketing plugin is a nice story, personally I find that while I can see how great an idea was, and how obvious the need was, I can't usually see that until the product exists. Having the vision to see it first is the difficult bit.0 -
REPORTED user TamiBolton.
User joined in May 2013 and is ONLY posting on old threads (like this one). Probably to bump up posting count in order to post links.0 -
I am posting on all sorts of posts some of them new, had some time on my hands and am posting and adding value as far as I am concerned on topics I am knowledgeable about . Think it's pretty insulting but anyway, if i am not welcome to post on the forum so be it. I have been reading this forum for ages and decided to contribute as many of the best advice I received came from here.
Can you please find one spammy post I have written? Or one that offers no value? Unjustified reporting.0
