Thanks Rosie, not a bright pink pink, but a pale dusky pink :) Love it :)

Ooo, babymoo, great name :) will you be a bridesmaid or matron of honour for your mum?

Whats everyone doing about gifts? we already live tpogether and have everything, thinking about asking people to donate to a charity instead, its either that or towards our honeymoon fund but that seems really cheeky!!

  • Oooh love dusky pink, that will be gorgeous :-) Back to the book again Nixi, have you seen 'buy our honeymoon' that have done a piece in there? Could be an idea for you, we are thinking about it as well as Ive been married before and we live together too.

lol are you only arranging things you can get a good deal on lol!! I want to go to Vegas, stopping in New York for a long stop over :) OR go to Mauritious or the Bahamas or...... well anywhere really lol!!

  • Lol...yeah pretty much!! Oh wow...liking the sound of the Bahamas. Trouble is I'm afraid of flying...could be a prob - eeek!
  • Thank you so much for sharing this; it has made me think twice about wedding insurance! I am getting married in August 2013 and have already put the deposit down on our venue and my dress. I had considered insurance before…but in general think insurance is a scam so was not in a rush to buy it. However I am re-considering and have found a policy with Dreamsaver online.
Obviously the first thing I need to do is check whether we would be covered for the venue and my dress seeing as I have already put deposits down on both.
Furthermore our reception is being held at a venue which is a permanent marquee set in grounds – there is no use of an actual building. From looking at several policies they all seem to charge extra for marquee cover which seems silly for us as it is not an ‘extra’ for us, it is our actual venue!
The public liability issue is a very interesting one – I have checked the wording of one policy I have found and it is £20 extra for ‘optional public liability for the guests’ and £51 extra for ‘optional public liability extension’. Not sure what the difference is between the 2 but I assume with the latter it covers the bride and groom, guests and staff?! I will call and find out.
Either way, it soon adds up doesn’t it?!
I don’t suppose anyone knows of a wedding insurance company that allows you to chose exactly which elements of the wedding you do and don’t want to cover? This would be ideal and possibly more cost effective, therefore probably impossible to find haha!
    Thanks in advance all!
    Louise.
  • Don't know anything about insurance hun, may be an idea to start a new thread just for insurance and ask others? x
  • Have you decided on a honeymoon yet Nixi? I can't decide...so many places...considering a fear of flying course tho :-/

Sorry - been really busy at work, but made lots of wedding progress too :) Dress brought :) honeymoon we have chosen to go to Hawaii :) lol! Don't ask - OH's decision in the end! (Thought I'd let him make at least one as it is his wedding too lol!!) Booked photographer too, and video guy (friend of family though so that one was easy!) hair and makeup all booked in too, next job is picking the menu I think :) I want to sort my cake too :)

eek fear of flying will make going abroad hard - a cruise maybe? or hypnotism to cure you? I know someone hwo had hypnotism to stop smoking, and it worked really well!
