  • I'm not keen on the first dance either to be honest! We are getting married in a hotel too, was just easier to get everyone there and a lot of them are staying too.

i think hotels are great for weddings, the hassle of getting to a church, then moving on somewhere else just seems like too much trouble lol! Going for my first look at dresses next weekend, soooo excited lol! Seen pics of what I think I want but going to try on as many different styles as I can to make the most of it :)

lol! tbh I'm not planning on buying on saturday, so actually spending money wasn't in my head, this is more a research project (whats the bet i fall in love with a dress now i have said that!!) :) thats my excuse for not thinking about the discounts lol! I've been lurking on various different forums on here for years so actually consider myself a true mse-er lol!

How are your plans going? I'm so excited about going dress shopping lol!

  • Lol...was only joking :-) you wouldn't have posted about the book in the first place if you weren't a diehard MSE'er!
Plans are going ok... I had decided on stationery but now am tempted by the discount offer in the book....the book is planning my wedding for me lol!
You are bound to see a dress you love when you're not properly looking so be prepared!

  • Good excuse to uninvite some you didn't really want there in the first place? Could be a bonus in the long run! So far I've had discounts on my jewellery, tiara and videographer....still deciding on stationery

don't get me started on superstitions - i don't worry about those, or tradition but my mother in law does... I'd like to give a speech instead of OH as he doesn't do speeaches and it is really worrying him but aparently that isnt traditional! lol!
we are civil too - prob going a bit over the top though lol! but in a sophisticated way. As a bride said in that book do it your way!! Which is why I am going to be doing the speech..just not telling my mil !!!!

I doing a speech whilst it will put the cat amongst the pigions as far as my family is concerned I don't care any more. my OH doesn't do speeches and I feel one of us should make a speech to thank people.
