Virtually all claims firms are like this, they promise you fictional sums and don't make it clear anywhere that you have to do all the work for them so they can just post off your form.

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Do not take a job with this company, they offer a trail, if you get 10 leads in 3 days they say they offer permanent employment, they say contract will be sent out, it never arrives then when you ring they claim the 2 people you delt with a "vaz" & a "trudie powell" have left the company within last couple of days. You are ment to be paid commision for the leads you get in the 3 day trail but no money is forth coming. You have been warned!!!!

I applied for a PPI claim a couple of years ago using the MSE form but BoS replied saying they wouldn't offer a refund. Earlier this year I got a call from Hidenda and thought what have I to lose and accepted their offer to send through the information pack. I completed this and sent it back. A while later they contacted me requesting some info which I didn't have. Subsequently BoS contacted me to say they have reviewed my claim and decided to pay out. I received the payment from them in April. Today Hindenda sent a letter requesting a signature and it also had the paragraph stating breach of contract clause 3.2. I don't know what to do, whether I contact them to say that BoS paid me directly or do I ignore it? I'm worried they will invoice me for a large sum.

Really need some more details on what you did or did not sign.

Did you actually sign an authority for them to act on your behalf? Or just fill out a form requesting more details?

The BOS payment would not have been anything to do with Hidenda - they and other banks are proactively reviewing previously rejected cases and sometimes overturning their original decision. I would contact the bank direct and confirm this and also confirm whether they have any third party down as acting on your behalf or whether they have sent a copy of the letter to any third party.

As regards Hidenda, can you copy out what their letter actually says? Unless we know what they are threatening or what clause 3.2 actually is, we are stabbing in the dark a bit.
  • Scottfkennedy. Did you ever end up having to pay The claims company out of your bank compensation? I seem to be in a similar situation. Thanks.

"SCOTTFKENNEDY" only ever made one post and last logged into this site in mid-December 2015, so I doubt you'll get any response.
