flying solo and occupying time!

I am starting to get like an excited puppy as my holiday is now under 2 weeks away!! However, this is my first time of traveling alone and just wondered what you guys do to pass the time when flying solo!
I already have a book and my cross-stitch, music has been transferred to my mp3 player, I’ve upgraded the airport lounge, I will be getting a sandwich from boots to eat on the plane so hopefully wont have much time to get bored of waiting (either for the flight to be called, the plane to take of, or the flight to land!!)
What do you do to help pass time?!

Not wanting to burst any bubbles but cross stitch needles could be taken off you at security.
I love travelling solo and never find it boring -People watching is always fun. I think you have more chance of getting bored on the flight than whilst waiting at the airport tbh.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

according to the directgov.com page they are allowed though from what I can gather from individuals it depends on the security staff that day!0 -
If oyu have upgraded the lounge, you may find some food and drink is already provided free of charge0

I can help myself to drinks in the lounge and from what I can gather from the website there are crisps and cakes too mmmmmm!!
I love airplane food but its so expensive these days so I'd rather get a boots meal deal!0 -
I read before I get on the plane, then once on the flight I try to sleep (thats the most boring bit for me and I get a bit queasy if I try and read for long on a plane).0
