I will be going to lords cricket ground on sunday for the cricket match between England & south Africa. I have never been to lords so was wondering where is the best place to park ànd then hop on the tube? Or if there is any suitable parking around the ground? I've only been on the tube once which was very long time ago as I do not live in London. On tips on purchasing tube ticket etc thank you Ps I have also submitted this thread on another section of mse. hope I ain't breaking any rules etc.

You could find somewhere to park at the far end of the bakerloo line and get the tube there. I think it will probably be expensive/impossible to park near the ground on a match day.0 -
Where you park really depends on where you are driving from, there is cheap parking at the end of or at intermediate stations across London but you need to tell us which main road/motorway you are arriving on.0

We are East Midlands and sometimes drive to Cockfosters and then park and tube it in. £1 for parking and then just your tube ticket. Piccadilly line in and then change at Kings Cross for any of the three lines to Baker street.:beer:0

That is quite a drive along the M25 if using the M1. We use Brent cross tube which is 2 minutes off of the end of the M1. They have a small car park which is only £1. A weekend daily travel card to use from zone 3 is about £7The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Leave M1 at J4 and drive to Stanmore tube station - about 10 mins max. Car park or street parking plentiful on a Sunday. Jubilee line to St Johns Wood. Lords just across the road from station. Day Zones 2 - 5 Travelcard £8.50? However an off peak single on Pay as You Go Oyster Card is only £1.40 (£2.80 return). An Oyster has a £5 refundable deposit and a minimum £5 top up, but if you travel to London, even if not very often, probably worth investing. See https://oyster.tfl.gov.uk/oyster/link/0005.do
Other options are to come off M1 at J5 and drive to a Metropolitan Line station. Plenty within easy access and generally good parking, often free street on a Sunday, inc. in Watford, but please check signs carefully. Take Met Line to Finchley Road and change to Jubilee Line for St Johns Wood.0 -

We come from the Midlands and have used Hillingdon in the past - £5 per day week days and £1 per day at the weekend. You would then get on the Metropolitain line to take you straight into Baker Street."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of."
