My folks live in Spain and whilst I am using a cheap way of phoning them it is still costing £10 plus a months. I was planning to buy my dad a Skype hand set ( the USB type only ) for his birthday and get one for me too. I am BT Broadband but they only have unlimited dial up no Broadband where they live. Can't be doing…

... or any of the Betamax VoIP brands - VoipbusterPro might be interesting as the €10 credit could last for a year of two or three calls a week, or €20 would cover a call per day for a year.

Also a UK number could be pointed at the account, and incoming calls forwarded to theirs, so other people might call them cheaply as well.
