I would send them a letter asking them to claify that they will accept £142 as full and final. It might be a ploy to see if you'll go higher, in which case they'll ask for the full amount.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Current Pay Off Target : £1500

Following my 2nd F&F letter to Wescot offering the amended amount of half, I have received the letter below.

Should I now send a cheque for £142.50?

Is this letter enough, will they think I'm hassling them if I asked for more confirmation?

It still doesn't say full and final settlement! Tread carefully! Ask them for a letter confirming that it is FULL AND FINAL settlement.

    Thanks for that Crown!

Will this letter be enough to stop anyone pursuing the debt at a later date?

Just that it's not official is it?

Have you used this letter with success before?
