it is of absolutely no use to me though. i already have far superior qualifications, and the course isn't really in any way related to the career path i'm looking for.

They don't care about the career path you prefer. Getting into work is the bottom line. And your "superior qulaifications" obviously haven't helped with that, have they?

i've been mithering my wp 'advisor' for weeks about IT apprenticeships and other things that would be of more use to me to no avail. i'm sure it's been said on here often, but this wp really is a complete joke.

To get onto the work programme you must have already been unemployed - so why didn't you "mither" your way into an appenticeship or "other things" on your own? If you couldn't do it, what makes you think they can?

Contrary to popular belief, much of the Work Programme is voluntary. However, sanctions can be imposed if you then fail to attend courses and so on, once you're on them.

Your JS Agreement should state areas of work. People are usually allowed 13 weeks - a permitted period - to remain looking in their previous field. I'd imagine this wouldn't apply to those on the Work Programme.
Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.
