I managed to open one at Nationwide branch one hour ago -- it wasn't too busy there !

Try applying by phone as some may accept a debit card payment. What about your own bank, as they've already done the identity check and there may be less "red tape".

You may still be able to apply with your own bank online (but I am not sure about that). Of course, that would be under the assumption that your bank has already done the necessary money laundering checks.

If you already have an ISA with your bank then you can just do an online transfer I suppose from your bank account before midnight????

15 mins left!!.... if you cant decide which ISA to go for just pick any old instant access one (not A&L) ... you can worry about whether you are getting a good deal on it tomorrow morning after you have added a further £3000!! (if not then just transfer elsewhere) :D
