I need help to save money.
In all aspects. I generally cook my own food from scratch. And buy the reduced meat and put it in the freezer.
I buy lots of economy brands.
But my biggest spend is on Nappies, wetwipes and cleaning products.
Can anybody help me? I spend around £17 a week on supermarket shop. But I get healthy start vouchers, which I can't spend in my local Veg shop (which is so much cheaper than Asda).

GO on pigsback and start clicking! You can exchange the piggypoints for boots vouchers so you could get some of your nappy and wetwipes from there. Definitely worth looking into
Or what about re-usable nappies?

If you take a look at the first two posts in this thread they should help.

If you cant switch to re-useable nappies, instead of buying wipes, buy a bulk pack of flannels and use those instead or use cotton wool. When going out, take a damp flannel in a food bag to wipe mucky faces/hands etc...
as for cleaning products - dont buy any apart from stardrops that will clean ANYTHING! and its £0.55! (ish) use up what you have for now and then use stardrops. dont buy bleach either!Make £10 a day challenge March 2013 £101.24 / £240 :j

What cleaning products do you buy Beth? Most of us find stardrops does the job for most things - type stardrops into the search box & it will come up with a load of threads about it. It saves you buying loads of different products & thus spending a fortune.
With regards to the wipes - can you save baby wipes for when you are out & about, and just use a flannel with soap & water when you're at home? Companies fool us into thinking we have to use these "convenience" items, when really it's not necessary. There were no baby wipes when I was in nappies, and my Mum would have had no choice in what to use. The flannels can be put through the washing machine & reused.0 -

hi Beth if you cant face switching to reusable nappies, i've found Lidls is really cheap and they're fine. tried boots value ones, really cheap ok in an emergency (i ran out in middle of town) but they were really plasticky.Word for 2023 …PROACTIVE 🧡 2023 -decluttering campaign 1020/2023 ⭐️⭐️Saving towards paying off car in November…£720/£1500 🚗0

re-usable nappies are great in theory, but a big outlay all at once if you are on a tight budget, even if cheaper in the long run.0
