Its a Esso filling station with a Tesco Express store attached - two separate trading entities as far as any 'promotions' are concerned e.g. you won't get Clubcard points for fuel there - a long standing exclusion. All the banners, and on the 'fuel' vouchers states that Esso filling stations are excluded - so granted its strange that you were told they would - but why go there in the first place!!?
