Ripped off by Tesco/Esso

We spent £50 on toilet paper in Tesco. 5 * 10p/vouchers.

Checked nearest petrol station at http://www.tesco.com/storeLocator/

West Byfleet Old Woking Road Esso Express

My wife went there, asked at the till, 'Can I use these vouchers?'

They said 'Yes.'

So she fuelled and went to pay. 'Sorry only one voucher is going through' They refused to give the full discount.

Went to the Tesco supermarket where we got the vouchers (Tesco Brooklands Extra).

They said, yes you can use 5 coupons in one transaction, but refused to help with the issue re Esso/Tesco.

Won't bother with Tesco again.

I wasn't aware you could use them at places other than Tesco petrol tbh. Of course they don't want to help, you chose not to spend with them.

Sounds like your complaint is with esso not tesco. Although the two companies have a link they are different companies.

Surely though you still have 40p worth of coupons. Can't you just use them next time at a proper tesco petrol station?

Tricky one, they agreed they accept the vouchers, but didn't specify only one per transaction.
