Travelling in London

Sorry for duplicate but I think this is more suited here,
I am hopefully travelling to the Closing Ceremony tomorrow and looking at booking my train tickets to Euston. Can anybody help if I would be best to buy a travelcard along with my train tickets for travel in London for the following circumstances:
We need to get to the Olympic Park from Euston for one adult and one child (aged 15) and I have a family and friends railcard. We will then need to get back to Euston the following morning from the Olympic Park (my OH has a rented apartment we will be staying in near the stadium).
If somebody could help me with what journey I should take and best option financially I would be very grateful as this is all very confusing for me:rotfl:.
Many Thanks

Walk along Euston Road to Kings Cross, it's about 0.5 miles, check out the British Library and the beauty of St Pancras Station as you go by.
Or take the tube Northern (Black line) or Victoria Line (Blue Line).
At Kings Cross get the Javelin to the Stadium.
Don't forget to let your son have a look for Harry Potters platform at Kings Cross0 -
Many thanks, if I purchase a travelcard with my train tickets, which zone would I need?
I appreciate your help xx0 -
It will come with a zone 1-6 travelcard on it as standard."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

I think what Jeff B h means is that Olympic tickets come with the travelcard.
They're certainly not included by default with train tickets.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
I nearly completed the green mile (Got caught be the 2nd to last traffic lights) on Euston Road on Thursday, so so much better since the Olympics started along there.0

Do you already have your closing ceremony tickets? Don't they come with a games travelcard for each of you?0

The problem I have with the free travelcard with the Olympic Tickets is that I will not have the tickets until I meet my OH outside the stadium so I will need to purchase them.
Hope this makes sense.

I did and they do if you select a London Z1256 train ticket. BUT!!
I just noticed that you are coming back a different day so you will not be able to purchase a return with a TC on it. You will have to buy that seperatly."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -

If you have your Olympic ticket and the email to say so then you are free to use just that to get to pick up your ticket...
hold on Ive got the email somewhere..."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
Ticket Information:Customers who do not have a Games Day Travelcard are to be allowed to travel free on TfL services on presentation of a valid event ticket, printed at home event tickets or confirmation that they have purchased Olympic tickets for that day. This will be in place until the end of the Olympic Games.
No need to purchase a travelcard. Just present the evidence you have a ticket to pick up at the barriers and they will let you through."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0
