Mobile to Mobile Austria Even Possible Anymore?

Hi!

I recently signed up on a £30 a month mobile deal solely so that I could use one of the free inclusive minutes to abroad services ('YourCall', actually) to ring an Austrian Mobile. Two weeks in to the 12 month Orange phone contract and guess what? YourCall decide they aren't going to offer Mobile to Mobile Austria calls anymore, which looks like leaving me with a very expensive phone shaped paperweight! Does *anyone* know of a service able to provide Mobile (UK) to Mobile Austria using free inclusive minutes? I'm getting desperate here :-(

Thanks!

Steve

"3" have a network of "sister" networks which allow this :

Thanks APK - not that comforting seeing as I have 11 months left on Orange, but interesting all the same!!

    Thanks again!

surely you can cancel with no penalty since they have changed their terms and conditions (and keep the handset!)

It's nothing to do with the network.

Yourcallworld is a separate calls provider, and sometimes wholesale rates fluctuate so they cannot have some destinations all of the time.

Steve, if it's for a single Austrian number, it might be worth setting up call forwarding via a VoIP provider, costing from about 8 pence a minute.

Or if you call a lot, you might get one of the Isle of Man numbered roaming SIMs and send that to the person there. At the moment the 07624 ones come from Orange minutes, but I don't know yet about 07924 ones. The SIMs cost about £30 though, including some credit

Thanks Redux - that's some extremely interesting advice! I will have to read about the roaming sim, as no idea what that is about yet. Sounds quite hopeful though. Can't tell you how grateful I am for your help! It's also reassuring to hear that there is a possibility of the service reappearing during the 11 months I have left.
