    Afternoon all

Sun finally starting to peep through the clouds, not before time! Got one load of washing out, second almost done. We're off to a food festival in the town near us this afternoon, then oodles of tidying up to do tonight. Don't think we'll have a proper tea after sampling food all afternoon! :rotfl:

Hope to do some baking tonight when the littlies are in bed - some mini cheese and onion tarts, ginger biscuits, maybe some scones if there's time.

DH just gone to the tip with a load of rubbish, so the drive's nice and clear again.

DS (5) swallowed a penny yesterday afternoon, so hoping it makes a re-appearance before the weekend's out. :D

Have a nice afternoon, hugs and kisses to the feeling-low.

    A xo

Molly healing vibes for Poppy; they really hate it when they get something in their ears, don't they? Jessie sends her a big wet Labrador kiss, too.:o

Message for Luna: Oi missy, I've only been staying with Aunty Wolfy for a week, but I know that it's much better for us both if I listen to her, and do as she says. Don't tell me "it's a Lab thing" cos I'm a Lab too, so that won't wash! Be a good girl and listen to Mummy Bitsy. Lots of wuff, Jessie x

  • Had a nice day so far. Managed to sit outside to have lunch of leftover chicken salad sandwich with Pom bears and pressed apple juice courtesy of M&S. OH has put a ramp from the back door into the back garden with hand rails for me, so its much easier to get out there. It was nice at the table with parasol, clothes blowing on the line and the sound of the pond fountain.

He is just cutting the grass then he's going to stew the rhubarb. We've also ordered a curry for later using the £6 off voucher code Martin has in his newsletter this week. Hopefully it'll be alright. Not sure what to have for dinner tomorrow as theres only OH & I, but it'll be a roast of some sort.

We may watch a film together later, but we've both said about playing cards for a little bit.

Having a foot check up with massage and possibly reflexology on Monday. The lady is mobile and has an offer on atm for a check which removes hard skin, cuts nails, treats fungus infections?, ingrowing nails, massages foot/ankle/leg and then does a 30 minute reflexology taster for £30. A total of over an hour treatment. It sounded good and am hoping that the massage will help my muscles and joints. She is qualified and will provide a receipt. OH also has his 2nd lot of Physio which is another £40 but we get half of that back through HSA.

Hope you're all having a good day.

Thank you - panic over - hate it when my doggies are not themselves:(

Anyhow she has an ear infection so has two lots of drops twice a day - should be fun:eek:

But she has improved just with one application so hopefully caught it early.

I have been asleep today as I had minimal sleep last night and we off to Harry Potter experience tomorrow for DD birthday last month. I need to save my spoons so am sat looking at the mess. Oh well x

Glad Jasper has also improved xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    molly glad she is improving

next doors dog , a springer keeps pushing his ball under the fence so DH will throw it for him, hes only a young dog and the neighbours are trying to decorate so DH is keeping him occupied lol

ive sanded DD1s door as she had painted it but it had dripped and it looked awful , so hopefully if she does the next coat with a little more care it will be fine . she is doing really well with it too but glossing is hard.

    Hi all
Just thought I would share this with you. Skye has a teddy which came with her which now has the name of Fred, and reacts like this when we sit him up.
((hugs)) to those needing one, quite a few it seems. Hope it gives you a smile :D
Birthday/Anniversary wishes to those I have missed. Take care all. DG

thanks for sharing donny-gal. It certainly put a smile on my face as it reminded me of when my dogs were playful puppies.

Donny-gal: Rotten old Fred. Too stand off-ish to play in spite of all the enticement.

Bitsy: My DS2's dog Millie (enormous dog, teeny brain) has also been going through a phase of running off to play with other dogs on the beach and not coming back when called. She now has to be kept on a lead and is distraught when all the others are playing ball and she is not allowed to join in.

cheapskate: I've heard of eating money but never exactly experienced it. Happy hunting.:rotfl:

nlj: good luck to DS with his move. Did the auction cough up the WM?

Molly: Glad the visit to the vet was successful.

Halight: You seem to be exploring every avenue but keep going. We've found that where benefits are concerned the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and you get a diiferent story from each person you speak to.

Another lovely day here. I've spent it cooking bacon and sausages for the baps at the church coffee morning. Rather over-estimated so guess who had cold sausages and salad for lunch and has a nice bag of cooked bacon in the freezer ready to add to mince or quiches. It's an ill wind!:D

    Evening everyone

Got back from my 2 weeks of sun in Majorca yesterday, Had a lovely time with dh, did a few trips mostly by ourselves which worked out cheaper than the reps ones. Buttons our lab seems to have enjoyed his hols at the dog carers, the lady said her daughter loved taking him for walks each day as she was home from Uni.

Have spent most of today washing holiday clothes which are now almost all done(thanks to the lovely sunshine) and sorting out the garden, hedges are now cut. Also did an hour at the gym to try and get rid of the weight I put on whilst away, will take alot more than 1 go though.

Need to sort out ds2 room before he comes back next week, he had a fab time with his ds at eurodisney.

Lou - Happy birthday for yesterday, hope you had a good day
Molly - glad your little doggie is feeling a bit better.
Flutterby - glad you had a nice evening with your friend.
PP - glad to hear you are feeling a bit brighter, hope you enjoy the foot treatment, sounds very good value.

Well I had better say goodnight. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.
